WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I have gone to this place several times in the past year to see a friend's band. The first time I went I felt sorry for the bartender because she seemed like she must be new and barely knew what to do. A year later, same bartender, I realize she's just that incompetent. Also rude and clueless about customer service, she is a good fit for this establishment which has an entire staff of unfriendly, impatient, and largely incapable servers. My experiences with the various waitresses and bartenders has been consistently the poorest I have ever experienced.

Great brunch here with a bloody mary bar that I really enjoy. My band plays here in the basement (Club Underground) and they are always good to us. It's a fun neighborhood place for bingo and jukeboxin' too. One of my top neighborhood choices when I want to chill at a nice dive.

I just had the worst experience at a Twin Cities bar in the past ten years. The staff at Spring Street Tavern is rude, mean, and extremely unprofessional. I made the unfortunate mistake of going to this place for my sister's birthday, and have never been more embarrassed by the actions of a staff member. Chuck, an employee, tried to pick a fight WITH MY SISTER, got in her face, and acted threatening. Chuck, by the way, is about 5'8' and 280 lbs. Over what, you ask? Because my sister dared to ask Chuck to take our drinks inside off the patio after we were informed that drinks were not allowed on the patio after 11:00pm. Of course, there was no sign indicating this, and there was no other employee of the bar in the vicinity. Chuck could not be bothered, and instead decided to go Alpha-male on us. Simply put, I would NEVER go to this bar again, and I will tell every person I know not to frequent this establishment. That is, of course, unless you like mean, arrogant, obnoxious staff who think they can taunt, bait and generally treat patrons like dirt. If you enjoy that, you'll really enjoy the Spring Street Tavern!

Room full of awesome!!!. I love to go here. Best food in town, and I can play loud music and drink shots at 9:30 in the a.m.

NE Breakfast. I recently went to the Spring Street Tavern in hopes of finding a new breakfast joint. If your looking for a good place to get some good breakfast, this is not the place. The food was absolutely terrible, some of the worst I have ever had. The service wasn't so great, and I felt like wanting to take a shower when leaving. I did not expect to walk in at 9:30am to loud music and people slamming shots at the bar. I would not recommend this place.

Three words: Grilled Meatloaf Sandwich. Since this place was voted Minneapolis's 'Best Neighborhood Bar', I can't really call it my own anymore...which is too bad. But it hasn't ruined the place at all, thank God. They still have an awesome bloody mary bar on Saturday and Sunday. I recommend adding the A-1 steak sauce...gives it that smoky flavor. I've never had one bad thing on the menu. My faves are the grilled meatloaf sandwich, the breakfast burrito and the eggs benedict. In fact, if I could eat the grilled meatloaf sandwich every day for the rest of my life, I would, because it's that good. Meatloaf is meatloaf, but the pumpernickel and cheese they serve it on are grilled to greasy perfection.

Although the 'Springer' is basically a dive bar...it may quite well be the best one out there. So don't go there, I want it all to myself.

Oh, and Laura rocks.

Don't Waste Your Time. Dive bar. Cheap bar food, average to below-average in qualitiy and taste. Nothing special.

best karaoke. On tuesday nights they have karaoke and everyone comes out of the woodwork! The types of people ranges from townies, to people that come just for the karaoke....there was one lady she rocked the house! Kim you rule at karaoke!
