Editorial Review for Annie's Parlour – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
Since the restaurant is so appealing to kids, this is the spot where many young ones are introduced to the U--they come to campus for a play or concert, and Mom and Dad feed them here. Juicy burgers, fries and creamy malts are the heart of the menu, and rooftop dining is a plus in nice weather. The hearty Riverside, a signature dish, is an open-faced patty topped with onions, mushrooms and gobs of cheese.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and decided we would try this restaurant because it is so highly recommended. We waited at least a half hour until our food arrived. Our waitress passed by us frequently and never updated us about our food until I questioned her. Her response was rude as she looked at her watch and stated that it had only been 15 minutes. The restaurant was not busy and she had no explanation for our wait. When the food finally arrived it took her over 5 minutes and a reminder to refill my boyfriend's soda. We will not be returning. P.S. The burgers and malts weren't any better than McDonald's.

Cons: terrible service!

Am I the only one who thinks these guys are really rude? Went to Annie's for lunch and got the cold shoulder from the older-woman hostess both as she seated me and took my money. Also, the table service was very slow, though she was friendly. The food itself was adequate--the fries were good and were served in a more-than-generous portion, but the chocolate malt had the texture of snot because it had warmed up significantly in its journey from the kitchen to my table. Wouldn't go back.

Pros: Good size portions

Cons: Poor service
