A Como Gem. Monday is Lebanese Omelet day.

Working in the Stinson/Hennepin area, I discovered Joe's during a lunchtime walk. On my first visit, I tried ordering the meatloaf, but was helpfully directed to the kibbi instead, which turned out to be terrific. I also sampled the yogurt, which is a bit like tart cream cheese, and pairs well with onion.

My second visit happened to fall on a Monday, which was when my life changed. I tried one of their omelets, which are a Monday specialty. Good Lord! Filled with that rich yogurt, onions, tomatoes, olives, a bit of olive oil and spices, and served at room temperature, these $5 treasures are one of my favorite foods.
