In Short
Vintage megaphones and pennants dangle from the bar. Photos of Gopher triumphs deck the walls. Even the menu displays its school spirit, with a variety of sandwiches named for Big 10 schools and college-sports notables--favorites include the Purdue Boilermaker barbecue burger and the Clem Haskins grilled turkey. The beer list is long and features a great selection of local brews and imports on tap. Rack 'em up downstairs at the pool tables.

This rating is to warn people of the parking there. I walked across the street to get a blizzard after lunch and they had my car being towed. while this happaen they had 3 oters tied up with the towing service. The problem is the parking sign is at an angle you are not able to see when parking....they will release your vehicle for 50$ cash, so in that 15 minute time peiod they pocketed 200$ I think they make more on the parking scam then food and liquor.

I noticed many of the bad reviews were before the new owners took over. Now they have an excellent beer menu (many local brews, like Surly), and great events. Last night I was at the New Belgium brewery beer tasting and got to try 6 or 7 7 oz glasses of great beer for only 5 dollars! Plus a beer rep was there and he talked about all the different beers, answered questions, and gave out free stuff. Their happy hour is always going on when I'm there (it's got to be the longest happy hour in the city!) and I always get good service, even when they are really busy. I highly recommend it.

Wow, don't be so hard on old Stub. Stub and Herbs has a ton of history and the new owners have definately done a lot to restore the place. The beer selection is great and probably second to only Wiliams Pub in Uptown. The food is much improved.
