I like to have my car served here because they will pick it up for me while I'm at work downtown and have it all ready to go and back in my parking lot before I'm ready to leave for home. It's like a car service miracle! Their prices can be a bit more than average but not for all services. For installing tires and a transmission flush, they were below other estimates I received so it really depends. Staff is always friendly and they look to make the customer happy.
Finding an auto garage you like is more
alchemy than science. Some things are simple: do they charge you too much? Is the location convenient for you? Some are a little more interpretative: Do they do good work? Are they being straight with you?
I stopped going to a Tires Plus because my car started stalling out a couple days after I took my car there for an unrelated servicing. I can't prove they did something wrong, or missed something they should have, but I just feel they did.
My girlfriend had a good experience at Bobby & Steve's, a repair bill coming in less than it had been prognosticated, so I gave it a try.
My experiences have been positive as well. Given a couple opportunities, they have declined to do work I would have paid for because they said it wasn't necessary. One time they even told me I should take something back to the dealership, because a minor problem that had arisen was still covered by the warranty.
The sense that an auto garage (or really any business dealing with something you don't understand all that well) is being straight with you is probably the most important factor to customer satisfaction. Bobby & Steve's gives me that feeling, and I don't think me and my girlfriend are the only ones. Their front counter is surrounded by thank you letters (and Christmas cards!) from customers, further evidence that they pride themselves on their customer service.
Our '89 Camry got hit and the driver
side door and front left quarter panel were destroyed along with everything related to the front left wheel.
Bobby and Steve's gave us a great quote and hit that quote. They also found the replacement body parts for this 21 year old car. Their customer service was exceptional. I am very pleased with the reasonable cost and great service we recieved.
This is one of the best places I have found in Minneapolis to work on my vehicle. This place has it all from car repair to gas to food! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you matter when you walk in the door! I would recommend this place to everyone!
GO HERE GO HERE GO HERE. Are you going
there yet? I recently had the best experience at Bobby & Steves.
My car had a flat tire, so they sent out the guy to come and change it for me. My last place (Precision Tune Auto Care) had overtightened the lug nuts. SO when the guy tried to change it, the nuts wouldn't come unscrewed and he broke one. He had to tow me to the shop. They gave me a price quote, told me I might need another new tire (which i understood) and I had to leave for a meeting. They said my car should be finished when I got back.
When I returned, my car was not yet done. They had made an error-- the wrong part had been delivered for my car. So Steve (the Steve of Bobby & Steves) asked me what I had to do for the remainder of the day. I said I had to be to work in Eden Prairie. He offered to let me take his own personal car to work in Eden Prairie, and he would drive my car down to the Eden Prairie Bobby & Steve's later in the day. I could return is car to the location when I was done with work. 5 minutes later, I was cruising to work in Steve's BMW. (While he took my Hyundai.)
I'm not sure of another place that is willing to give that kind of service. I am NEVER going back to Precision Tune-- Bobby & Steve's for life!
This place is awesome for food beside all the services they provide for your car and the ameneties of a gas/conviniece station. Their food is awesome, starting with their breakfast burritos 1.99, buffalo wing bites, joe's season fries and the Italian beef sandwich, you don't have to go to Chicago to have one, these guys make them just or better than Chicago. I ate there the whole entire week I was in MSP.
Another great Bobby & Steve experience. They picked up my truck, took it back to their shop for an oil change, washed and detailed it, and brought it right back to me in just a couple of hours. The guy that picked up my truck was very courteous and prompt. Totally recommend this shop and service.
polite. I do my oil changes here all the time there great and super polite to the customers and have good prices.
loved it!. What a weird gas station! I stopped by here one afternoon and there was a band playing. Seriously.
best. This may be the best gas station known to mankind.
