DO NOT GO TO HUBERTS!.
This place is awful. The staff is terrible just like the food. The bouncers protect their friends and act completely inappropriately toward everyone else. Their behavior is appalling and I cannot believe owner Steve does nothing about it. Manager Dan isn't any better, don't go there if you want to be safe!

Hubert's.
As my group of four hurried to get out of the rain and cold we entered Hubert's. It was cold outside, and the doors were wide open. We all ordered drinks and they were refilled promptly. However, the food was not so quick to arrive. We waited a long time and the place was nearly empty, it was 1:00 in the afternoon. The hamburger buns were stale, but we were starving, so we ate and left never to return. Too bad as we are Twins season ticket holders.

In response to a review....
I've been a server at Hubert's for 8 years now and here's why we take credit cards: people walk out on their tabs, ESPECIALLY on event days. You don't think it happens but it does. A lot. When this happens, the server then has to pay for the entire tab out of her pocket. I've had to do it and it's not fun. There have been times when I have a table and I think, "I don't need to take a credit card, these seem like nice people, they'd never walk out on their tab..." and then they do. So, sorry to the customer who now goes to the Little Wagon, but that's why we do it. In fact, most bars I go to do it as well.

Will Never Go Back.
I had been going to Hubert's for almost 20 years and now they demand you give them access to your creadit card and/or identification to start a tab. This assumes I am going to be guilty of something which is totally unacceptable. I'm not sure who is over-seeing the security of any creadit cards or identifications so I will be spending my dollars at The Little Wagon. It's only a few extra blocks away and the service is great! Too bad Hubert's, you had a good thing going once.

The closest bar to the Metrodome is a magnet for sports fans craving a bite and brew..
In Short
It's all about the location. Of course, the outdoor patio doesn't hurt, and the pub grub makes for a worthy meal before or after the game. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and other menu items all come in large quantities. Wash it down with one of the eight drafts or more than 10 bottled domestics and imports. It's jam-packed during Vikings and Twins season. A comfy back area is named for legendary Twins broadcaster Halsey Hall.

TOO BAD THERE AREN'T OTHER CHOICES BY THE DOME.
Nothing that great about the food/drinks/space, but the service is horrible. Friends and I stopped in after a game and ordered cheeseburgers. When the waitress finally broght them, she dropped the plates on the table and said "here are your cheese-boogers" and walked away, not returning until she brought the bill. It wasn't busy at all, so her excuse for being so rude can't be a crowd or rush. Although appalled by her, we would have liked to order more drinks, but she took so long to come back, we went elsewhere. Not worth the money.
