In Short – No need to worry about safety in this pub--it's teeming with off-duty cops. Perhaps they also appreciate the tin-ceiling ambience and service that make everyone feel like regulars. Burgers and chicken sandwiches share menu space with beefy Reubens and Philly steak sandwiches, plus walleye and several pastas. Locals walk the beat here daily, but it's especially packed when there's something going on at the nearby Metrodome.
Maxwell's is alive and well!

Just ask the kids and their parents who packed the place for the state high school football tournament this weekend!

How long does it take this site to acknowledge that this place burned down. I mean, it was good, but it no longer exists.

Its hard for me to want to tell everyone cause I want to keep this place low key so I can get a table and great service as always - but man - Maxwell's has the best buffalo wings in Minneapolis. Better than Runyons. Better than Shorty & Wags. Better than BW3s. Better than Sweeneys in St Paul. Great waffle fries with season sour cream. Oh man. Great Burgers. Great specials. Good selection of brew. Did I tell you I am a professional Buffalo Wing taster. Ohhh mannn I love Maxwells.
- Pros: the tastey wings
- Cons: impossible that there is a bad thing about this place
