Editorial Review for Grumpy's Downtown – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
This is the third incarnation of Grumpy's, joining the original Coon Rapids and northeast Minneapolis locations. There's a full menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches and soups that pad the stomachs of families and friends who come before a trip to the Dome. It also serves myriad local and regional brews, as well as the usual suspects, all available on tap. The jukebox features a wide range of rock and country music, some of it local.

Now, I've been to Grumpy's a handful of times and I will agree - don't go after a Twins Game. Menu is VERY limited, but took some friends here for lunch recently and they loved it! Everyone had a burger and I had the El Paso Tuna Melt. Food came quick, was delicious, and attentive service. The drinks poured in the evening are strong enough and at a good price. I recommend for the food and drinks. Lots of fried stuff if that's what you're into.
Pros: Reasonably Priced, Good Food, Good Service
Cons: Limited Parking, Twins Game Day Menu

Avoid Grumpy's on Minnesota Twins game days. Grumpys has sold their soul to Bobby and Steve's Auto World and now charges you a parking fee to eat or drink there before games.
Pros: Close to the Dome
Cons: You pay to park in their lot on game days/nights.
