Overpriced. Northwest, while nice, clean, is extremely overpriced. Almost twice as much as Lifetime. Unfortunately, there isn't much on the Mpls. side of town for Lifetimes. Northwest in St. Louis Park is nicely equiped, clean, and has a lot of young, hot, urban professionals to keep you motivated. Vikings cheerleaders work out here often.

It's sad to me that I have to pay that much for gyms that offer valet parking, bus service, but will not give free towel service. Yes, you have to pay for towels. Yes, you can valet park your vehicle. How pathetic is that? It can get very overpacked here though. Good gym but overpriced.

Poor capacity management. The place is nice but severely overcrowded. I also like how they schedule bring a friend nights on Tuesday--one of the busiest nights of the week. Weeknights from Jan-Mar you WILL have to wait in line to get on a bike or treadmill from 5-7 pm. Same for weights.

They screw over current members by pulling in as many new members as possible over new years. You think you'd get some loyalty for your 70 bucks.

But what can you do if you want nice facilities?

Be seen and look good. Great place to work out and be seen. Very motivating. Good mid 20's crowd. Kind of crowded sometimes.
