What People Are Saying About T.G.I. Friday's

In Short – The much-copied look of hardwood floors, decorative stained glass, checked tablecloths, brass rails and walls filled with knickknacks has been a staple at this restaurant franchise. Originally a hit for its frisky bar scene, Friday's is now known just as much for its kid-friendly entrees. The menu alternates between typical American fare (salads, potato skins, Angus burgers and grilled chicken) and modestly international cuisine like fajitas, wraps and pot stickers.

Editor's Tips

What to Drink:
With 18-ounce glasses, you might only order one. Friday's is known for its comprehensive drink menu, so try something a little unusual, like the June Bug--made from Midori, coconut rum, banana liqueur and pineapple juice.
The Extras:
Gift cards can be purchased in denominations ranging from $10 to $100.

Bad Burgers

by SaraMLesnau at Citysearch

My boyfriend and I usually love T.G.I. Friday's, but the one in St. Louis isn't that great. We usually just get burgers and fries. But they always seem to burn the burger. My boyfriend and I both like our burgers medium, and we understand that they have to cook them closer to well done, but they always say they will do what they can. We have been there 4 times now and are not going back because they can't listen to a simple request. They also are skimpy on the fries. We are not picky people; but this is just ridiculous and wanted to give others a heads up.

corporate policies are out of line

by thomasdeprycker at Citysearch

My girlfriend and I were regulars at this place for over 18 months. We made friends with the bar staff and management and always had a great time. Then one night our favorite bartender was fired for failing an alcohol sting. The "stinger" had gray hair and looked like a little old man. No one would card someone like that and if you expect busy bar staff to worry about it you might try having the hostess who opens the door for you to check your id!

  • Pros: used to have great service
  • Cons: being a regular was dissapointing
