I believe Gina has moved on but hey, it wasn't her salon anyway.

A salon for salon-fearers. I was looking for a salon that didn't make me feel awkard or un-trendy or not quite chic or superficial enough. The place is small enough to be comfortable and non-intimidating for salon-fearing types like me, but it's not too small for comfort or confidence. Suzanne is one of the 8 stylists there, and they all rent space as independent business people. That means they're in it for themselves and they care what you think. Suzanne told me the salon has recently gone under new ownership, that all of the stylists are experienced, and that they're looking for ways to reach out to people looking for their type of place. It's the most comfortable hair cutting experience I've had in quite a while, and I expect I'll give it a go next time around as well.
