Editorial Review for Pepito's Tex-Mex Bar and Grill – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Choose from two large, Mexican-style dining rooms with wooden booths and stucco walls. This homemade Mexican fare packs serious heat--delicate palates stock up on luscious guacamole or cool sour cream. Families and large groups start with the barbecue quesadilla, a pizza-like creation. Those with serious appetites order steak burritos as big as their forearms that are stuffed with tasty strips of tender meat. If there's room, they top it off with flan soaked with caramel.

So I just read some of the reviews and I strongly disagree. I've been going here for years and I love the place! The chicken flautas are amazing and I love the chips and salsa, it's the only salsa in minneapolis without cilantro! Yes the prices have gone up but prices have gone up everywhere, no it's not authentic but hello, it's TEX-MEX!! People need to raise prices to stay in business and if you like a business you should support that. I love the food and the peach margaritas are yummy. I love it!!

Pros: yummy food, great salsa

Cons: none

The food was disgusting--my refried beans tasted like overly salty baked beans from a can. Watch out for the waitstaff--their helpful questions (would you like sour cream with that? would you like your burrito enchilada style) are just attempts to make the bill higher. They charge you extra for every little thing, definitely not what I call good service.
