I, too, almost don't want to share Mill City with others. Terrific breakfasts-not a huge menu, but a tasty one. Lunch is very standard-decent, but nothing to go out of your way for. They're trying to get a dinner thing going, but so far it has been hit & miss for me basically because the menu isn't right yet. It would be a great place to have some wine and small eats though. If they take it in a tapas direction it will be hoppin with the nice seating outside. (Hate the huge airconditioner noise though!)

Pros: breakfast, outdoor deck, parking lot

Cons: dinner menu

What a find! I almost hate to recommend it, because it is such a great, tucked-away spot. Located in the California Building, an old grain mill, it's got a slight hippie-vibe with a good breakfast menu and friendly servers. There was live music-- lady with a great voice and a gent on stand-up bass. If feeling adventurous you can even get "Mother Knows Best" and see what the kitchen will surprise you with. The biscuits are good, which is no small praise for Minneapolis. Check it out.

Pros: atmosphere, service, good food
