I had a great experience when I met with John Arens the other day to review my policies. My friend referred me to him and he answered all of my insurance questions. I met his staff and they were also very pleasant. I am very happy to have found such a great office that provides such wonderful face to face service.
My Wife and I had an excellent experience working with Kim at John Arens' office. She was quick, helpful and reviewed each of our policies in great detail with us. I would recommend this State Farm office to anyone who is looking for stellar, personal experience. We are very pleased with the competitive rates and their diligence to help save us money. Fantastic experience all around!
I would rather pay higher rates than deal with this office ever again. Not only did it take forever for them to get back to me on my quote the ladies I spoke with were very rude! I could hardly understand becky, and asked to talk to someone else, when i was transferred the lady that I spoke with Kim was short with me and made me feel like an idiot when I tried to ask questions.
Switched and saved!!!.
I recently switched to State Farm, and not only did they save me a ton of money on my premiums, they helped make the switch, easy and painless on me :-)
I will be spreading the good word on State Farm and John's office to all my friends!
Very happy with the service I have recieved!!.
My husband and I have several policies with John's office. Anytime I call with a question or concern the ladies in the office are ALWAYS quick to help answer all my questions.
We recently had some issues with a few of our policies and Brenna was quick to help with all my concerns and helped get everything straightened out.
We have met with John on several occasions and he goes over all our policies and advises on coverage we need and the not so needed coverages.
I recommend State Farm and John's office to anyone looking for that personable touch!
Wow. Went from OK to Horrible!.
I have been a State Farm customer for over 17 years and switched to John's office because my original agent was over 25 miles away, John's office was just down the street. State farm has thousands of agents, the reason we pick one is to have an advocate, not just someone who signs you up and just collects his/her commission.
I thought the staff was a little rude, slightly unprofessional, but John seemed to have his act together so I figured I would deal with him and wound up transferring my home owners and automotive insurance, and added my girlfriend’s car to my policies.
My girlfriend had an accident last year, and while the main office handled the claim ok, there were some problems. John's office did not follow up to see if there were issues, we had to handle them ourselves. So much for doing little more than just collecting the commissions John.
The tipping point for me is
-last year someone broke one of my car windows. I did not have glass coverage and had to pay the money out of pocket. So I called John's office and got quotes. I decided against insuring both cars, but requested glass coverage for my car. This took three phone calls to his office. Sure enough the next month my monthly payment went up. I thought State Farm had me covered.
When I decided to review my expenses this year, and was shopping other insurance companies, I reviewed the policies and found I did not have glass coverage! I scheduled a meeting, took time off work. And met with John.
Talking to John about this first he verified I did not have the glass coverage and then he offered to get me a quote. I was more concerned about that I thought I was already paying for the glass coverage, I wanted to know what was going on with my policy, if I wasn’t paying for glass, what was I paying for? Asking John to verify what I had been paying, when the rates went up and he told me that rates going up after I requested additional coverage was ‘a coincidence’ and condescendingly said ‘Price of bread, milk, rent goes up all the time’ like I am clueless about living in America! Also, said it was lucky my car windows didn’t get broken and then I’d have to deal with that.. Gee thanks!
I know I was paying 32 a month when I bought the policy, am paying 40 a month now. 8 bucks a month is not a lot on its own, but that’s almost 100 a year, and when I get my six month renewals I check the increase, so I am an informed consumer. I guess my major malfunction was that I did not verify I had the glass coverage in my policy after John’s office told me I had it, and after I was paying more each month..
With John refusing to do more than say I did not have the coverage, and what a coincidence it was, but would not look into what caused the ‘coincidence’ he then suggested I find another agent (which I will be glad to do)
I guess I am glad that there are some satisfied State Farm customers using John's office. State Farm does have low priced insurance. Altho I know a couple of people who switched FROM John to another State Farm agent and saved hundreds! If you know a State Farm agent who does more than just collect the commission let me know, I am looking for a new agent, ASAP!
Best Office in MPLS. Getting a quote from this office is so fast and easy. Most insurance companies waste a third of your day on the phone. The gals in this office know their stuff! State Farm has the best rates compared to any insurance company my wife and I quoted.
I am pleased with this office.
We recently switched to this office from Progressive, and we saved a bunch of money!!!
We are very pleased with the service we have recieved here.
Not a pleasant experience..
To be honest, after reading these reviews I don't know how it's possible I went to the same insurance agent that the other reviewers went to. I was treated poorly by an unprofessional and disorganized agency. After being bounced around to three different people, I was told that I would need to pay more than initially quoted unless I enrolled in renter's insurance I already had through my bank.
I decided not to do business with them after that, and two weeks later I am still waiting to have my payment returned to me. Brenna has been rude and unresponsive to inquiries. I guess their commitment to customer service only goes so far.
CONS: Disrespectful, disorganized and unprofessional...I wish I had been treated better.
The BEST insurance agency in ALL of Minneapolis.
This is the BEST insurance agent and agency in the state, we have used other agents and we can't say enough wonderful things about this agent and his competent employees!!
His insurance office assistant Brenna has been invaluable to us in our personal insurance as well as our business!! SHE is very GOOD at her job and is fantastic and well trained to deal with all aspects of insurance!!
John Arens is the best agent in the state!!
