45 minute roundtrip for us, but it's totally worth the drive!. IMO there's NOTHING for decent pizza in the Crystal/New Hope/Robbinsdale area (Broadway Pizza doesn't count: Have to sponge the grease off of, has wet cardboard for crust, better never mind) so I am glad my organisation had an event over by Lake Harriet a few years back and ended up ordering from LHP, ever since then me and mine have made a point of driving all the way from Crystal to South Mpls to get the goods - only once have we been disappointed: when they're busy on weekends it's easy to confuse an order, so I'll let that one go. You can definitely tell that the sauce is homemade, or at least made batch-to-batch as the spiciness changes each time you go - also, it's nice to find a sauce that's not the typical ketchup or alternately just bland tomato paste, and there's never any lack of toppings, unlike some stingy pizza places! After a few years of getting their pizzas I'd say my favorite pizza chef there is Kelly - He's very attentive to detail, and pulls them out at JUST the right time, perfectly done. Green Mill is nothing compared to LHP, and LHP is at least 5 bucks cheaper per pie (3 topping special average prices)... And it's an indie!

best pizza. I rember when lake harriet pizza had a restruant in linden hills one of my best pizza every cheap to very good sauce. Good ser to.
