First time experience and the last.. The worse pad thai I've ever had. It was so greasy and there were ingredients that don't belong in pad thai cooking. (Soy sauce) The spring rolls was a disappointment because I thought it was a fresh one that wraps in rice sheet. To me, it look like an egg roll. Name your food right gosh.

Family favorite. I've tried other Thai retaurants and although I'm sure there are better decor's and possibly better menus. I haven't found one of those yet. Always a favorite place to go when my out of town family members visits

Yuck!. This Bloomington Sawatdee is probably one of the worst restaurants in the Twin Cities. We went there in the mid-afternoon and were the only people in the place but still received inattentive and horribly slow service. The food was tasteless and boring; we never saw the drink menu that was mentioned in the profile for this restaurant because it probably doesn't exist!! The server apologized for his lackadaisical service at the end of the meal and offered free ice cream, which I accepted but my husband wisely turned down. The ice cream he brought out was so horribly freezer burned, I'm guessing it had been in the freezer for close to a year!

Stay far, far away from this place! I have no clue why Citysearch said it's such a great place for Thai food!

Decent Thai cuisine.. I have been here a few times and since have varied on my opinion. This place is nice. Not outstanding, but overall satisfactory. Try the Thai iced tea.

The Twin Cities' first Thai restaurant offers varied levels of multi-spiced dishes.. In Short
Groups of friends sit by the cheery wall of windows looking out on busy Lyndale Avenue, while couples go for dimly lit, curvaceous booths in the middle of the dining room. Specify how spicy you want your dish, or servers will automatically bring you the mildest preparation. Popular dishes include the zesty red chicken curry with nice hunks of tender meat, or rama thai--plump shrimp in silky peanut-curry sauce over steamed spinach.

Great !!! New Owners. Four sisters from North Eastern Thailand bought the restaurant in Sept 2004. The food is absolutely superb. I lived in Thailand for two year and Thai food does not get any better than this. This is Thai food exactly like they make it in thailand

Expected better.... Had dinner here a few nights ago. Have never tried any of their other locations. The only other Thai place I tried in the Twin Cities was Chiang Mai. Overall, the interior decor was ok, I thought it was funny that the ceiling looked more chinese then thai. The background music was pop, which does spoilt he ambience somewhat. We ate the rainforest curry, Thom Yaam soup and the Bangkok Seafood combination. I thought the rainforest curry too mild and tasteless. The Thom Yaam was excellent, although I would have preferred a little bit more 'kick'. The seafood dish was ok, the shrimp weren't too fresh. Overall, the bill was around $40 for 2 people. I think Chiang Mai is better. Service was fast and polite though.
