In Short – Since 1962, travelers have enjoyed budget-friendly prices at Motel 6. The national chain (more than 800 locations in the U.S.) accommodates traveling families, as kids stay for free and complimentary coffee is available every morning. The rooms are simple--a TV on the dresser (free HBO and ESPN), data port for computer users and a basic bathroom--but at these prices, who needs a whirlpool?

had confirmation # and credit card to hold, lost all and was not in their system. Bedding was unchanged! Stained , Dirty , long hairs wrapped on all pillows and in sheets! in both beds. other bedding had GROSS stains! Asked for clean bedding they said "sorry NO" . Sink broke would not drain. They showed us a second room , It was the same, REALLY ! After a 4 hour drive we left for cleaner hotel just down the road! If your a fast running nocturnal insect you will love it! July 9, 09

Dirtiest Motel EVER!!!

This is the most disgusting motel I have ever visited in my life. I would consider it a Dateline NBC nightmare on cleanliness. Initially there was a wash cloth with male body hair left on the shower curtain rod when we checked in. There was a chicken bone left in the hallway from one of the 'residents.' There are unmentionable species living in the bed and under the fitted sheet in the beds, and stains on not only the towels but the sheets as well. Use your imagination on what kind of stains as we also saw a few encounters between "janes" and "johns." I am sure their visits were short if you know what I mean. When we asked for new sheets the manager was extremely rude and threatened to kick us out because we were high maintenance. He refused to offer us new sheets and the ones he eventually gave us didn't appear to be washed at all. The hallway carpets have large visible stains on them. The place smells like garbage and smoke. Upon further investigation we found animal feces under a bed. This motel is not even worth the inexpensive rate as you will want to sleep outside in a dangerous neighborhood (close to the mall of America) instead of this infestation of a motel. Even other motels I contacted to find different rooms said this Motel 6 should be burned down because it was so dirty. Do not stay here ever if you value even the slightest level of cleanliness. Furthermore, the manager is unaware of the filth and denies new linens unless you bring yours down. This place is gross. If you have no other options, sleep in the airport.
