The LAST place you want music lessons.
I have students that work at different Best Buys and they say it's the biggest joke.
When Best Buy first got into the music biz, it's every obvious they tried to view lessons as mass production and decided that it was unnecesary and too expensive to have a separate sales staff and teaching staff.
Solution: make sure to always hire people who CLAIM to play an instrument and when a customer comes in wanting a lesson, that salesman will now be your teacher even if they have only been playing a few months.
They have been the laughing stock ever since but now they think the best way to fix their bad reputation is to team up with a telemarketer scam takelessonsDOTcom who basically does the same thing but just a lot more aggressive and shameless about lying about their imaginary "staff" of instructors.
Now, if you respond to an ad because you like the bio an pic of the instructor but "their" instructor doesn't work at Best Buy, TOO BAD! It's the classic bait-and-switch"
You are not only going to be told, "Too late, the teacher in the ad is filled up," but the "counselor" (salesman) will pressure you to sign up right now with one of their "certified" teachers at a Best Buy near your address, you will miss your "opportunity" to sign up at all so you really don't have time to meet the teacher first,
They do not want you to meet your teacher before you pay. THIS IS NUMBER ONE OF ALL RULES OF SHOPPING FOR MUSIC LESSONS; TALK TO YOUR TEACHER BEFORE YOU SIGN UP NOT A SALESMAN.
Takelessons/Best Buy has to force you to make the biggest mistake to sign up with them for lessons
against caucasions. would not suggest shopping there if your caucasion. will never shop there again. if you voice any opinion they will tell you not to shop there. go to circuit city or anywhere else.
Would not recommend this particular store for any reason.
I spent almost $4,000 on a top of the line car stereo at this Best Buy location and had it installed there. I can't even begin to tell you the problems I've had. I understand mistakes happen, but I've been back SIX TIMES in less than a year and it still doesn't work correctly. It turns out that the "trained" installation department installed components that are incompatible and keep on burning out or having to be repaired. I have dealt with staff that is either uncaring or lacks knowledge and if you [gasp] dare to ask for a manager they are actually more rude than the employees! The manager at this store (Laura) basically stated that I should goto another Best Buy to fix stuff I bought there because they don't know how to fix it and they admit they installed it incorrectly on SIX different occasions.
I have nothing against Best Buy but this store is the worst one I've ever seen. I would not recommend going there but if you choose to be VERY CAUTIOUS if you do business with anything they install.

Ignored.. I wish I had stayed home. I could have gotten better advice from my cat. According to an unnamed individual within this organization, DLP televisions use lasers which, without purchasing their extended warranty, would burn through my screen causing permanent damage. Wow. Talk about a staggering lack of product knowledge.
No Good Experiences. Although the selection may be good (I guess that can happen when you bully all other competitors in your own back yard!) the customer service is absolutely horrid. Whether it's a lack of knowledge or it's a laxidazical approach to acknowledging and communicating with your customers, I can't help but feel belittled every time I walk through their doors.
