Okay, here is the deal.... if you want your hair cut or colored and you want to go somewhere in Woodbury - ASK FOR JAXSON! I have been seeing him for years now and I CANNOT rave enough about the quality of service he provides! Jaxson is one of the most educated stylists I have ever come across, he really knows his stuff. When booking your next appointment for ANY event ask for Jaxson. He is fun, cool and nice. He is one of those guys that you just want to do your hair. Magic hands in the shampoo bowl too, I swear... best scalp massage in the Midwest!!!
DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! I've never written a review before but feel that I must warn others to not waste their time or money at Spalon Woodbury. I saw SUSAN for a manicure and it was not only a horrible result, she was unprofessional, rude, and acted like I was wasting HER time. If you don't want to throw your money away and prefer professionals serving you to give you a relaxing experience. Stay away and avoid SUSAN!!
horrible customer service. overpriced.. I had makeup done for an event at the Woodbury location. Cost $100 and I looked like a tarantula when done. The "artist" told me she couldn't fix it without redoing entire face. So, spent 15 minutes of time and $100 to look worse than if i had done it myself. Then, was convince to buy a product that was out of stock & they'd mail it to me. Sent me the wrong product. Spent an hour with customer service simply asking for my money back. No luck. Will dispute charge on credit card & never go back. Yuck.
very average salon, $$$$ prices. In the 7 years I've lived in Woodbury, I've visited Spalon Montage about a dozen times, with each new visit hoping that I'll finally get a stylist that will give me an above-average haircut.. I've visited a different stylist each time, hoping maybe this time, this new stylist will give me a style that is worth the money (I've paid between $40-$60 each time). But no, it does not happen: Cookie-cutter suburban hairstyle each time. I keep going back just because the location is so convenient, and the salon looks nice. But after spending $60 on the last haircut and having my hair look no different than when I went in, I have finally given up on this place..
Just "Ok".
My Sister gave me a coupon for a free haircut. She was able to use it by the expire date and I was in need of one. The lady on the phone I guess use to these asked if I ever been there. Of course no but she just seemed put off that I had this coupon in the first place. She stated I would be with Ava. When I arrived on my appointment day I just felt out of place. They said I could sit on the couch and wait until she was ready. Ava was a very sweet and genuine girl. She made me feel a little better about being there. My haircut was cute but really I guess I could have gone somewhere else and had that done. In away I was expecting a drastic change and that was not the end result. She zipped through the haircut and I was done. Gave my coupon to the ladies at the counter and was on my way.
Would I go back? Probley not. Ava was great but I just feel I could go anywhere and get that same cut.
great experience every time. My stylist Lona was great. I was a little apprehensive to get bangs again, but she did a great job. I have also had a brazilian at the salon and that was also a good experience, not as painful as I expected. I am going back. I also love the decor for Valentines day.
My stylist was great!. I really enjoyed my experience with my stylist, Amir. I had left my stylist of many years because I felt she wasn't listening to me anymore and just giving me the same old thing every time I went in. Amir really took the time to listen to me and was very detailed in his work. I definitely recommend seeing him!
WORST EXPERIENCE! WEAR CRAPPY CLOTHES, THEY RUINED MINE!.
I have had several bad experiences here, from bad hair cuts to stylist doing her own thing in MY haed. BUT THE WORST of all was last week. I wanted a partial foil. The stylist seemed rushed and not very interested in what I wanted. Didn´t really let me explain, told me that foil in 2 or more shades of color doesn´t exist!
The result was....I couldn´t even see my highlights but of course...I could really see $110 going out of my pocket really fast.
No to mention that she RUINED MY PANTS!!! yes, bleach went in my pants.
When I told her I wasn´t satisfied with my color she started ARGUING with me, the client! she applied something (who knows what) to fix it, didn´t really work. I spent 3 hours there, starving to death, exahusted and having to deal with a crabby stylist!
I complained at the front desk; after making me pay full price; they called me saying that they would reimburse $60 for the highlights....about my pants??? they said they couldn´t do ANYTHIG and said they are not responsable for clothes damage. Is there something we sign agreeing on this? of course not!
NEVER COMING BACK, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
Very pleased with staff!. I switched salons when my stylist (award winning) cancelled more than 7 appointments. Ally is the greatest. I get comments from people on the street, in stores and on airplanes - who does your hair - I love it! Understanding the frustration with previous salon, they schedule my cuts, color and trims for the next 12 months. Julie does my pedicures and does an awesome job. While French may seem boring, it lasts for 6 - 8 weeks! I have nothing but great things to say about all services I have had from Spalon including facials and massages
constantly changing appointments. my mother and i have gone for an annual spa day while i am in town visiting for the past few years. each time something does not go as planned. generally speaking, we ask for specific individuals for planned treatments and invariably one or more of those people don't end up performing the service. each time we express our disappointment and sometimes there is compensation. i know that changes happen, but one would think that scheduling knows this when calling to confirm the appointment. it would be nice if they asked rather than told us when we arrive.
