Town Taxi Makes It Easy (or Airport)

Okay, so i see a negative review from the previous poster. I have to disagree. I have used Town Taxi several times as of late and found that that they are on time, and the drivers seems to have a good attitude. I did have one driver on his phone when he picked me up, but he promptly ended the call when I got in, and engaged me in conversation. The latest the cab has been was 5 minutes, and he apologized for it.

A little insight:

The driver that was 5 minutes late gave me some insight in to the company. He said they take being on time very seriously. To the point that if they are late the company will penalize them by not sending them orders for 12 hours, and they have to go discuss it with a manager at the company. THAT SPOKE VOLUMES!

I have called them, and their staff has been average. They do ask for a last name, and I did once ask why and they stated "for the safety of our drivers". I can respect that. I guess the big thing that made me want to keep using them is this new CabCall thing they have. I never even have to call them anymore. I go to their website, login, and can order a cab online. It can even be immediate. I also get a call from their system when the cab driver is 2 minutes away letting me know they are arriving. When it comes to cold Minnesota that means A LOT!

Either way. If you are wondering who to use. They seem reliable and customer driven. So I would recommend them.

• Pros: Online ordering, On-Time Pickup, a company that seems serious about their customers
• Cons: The inside of some of the cabs I have seen could have been cleaner, but that was rare.

Friendly, quick service

I have used Town Taxi several times in the last couple of weeks, as well as sporadically over the last several years. They always arrive quickly when I call, and let me know when they're about to get here. Every driver I've had has been friendly and accommodating, without exception. When I've used other cab companies, or had one recommended, I keep coming back to Town Taxi. I recommend them.

Rude, Senseless and Unforgivable

If you want to stay in good spirits, call these people as a last resort. I have been using Airport & Town Taxi for more than two months, 3-4 times a week and was more or less pleased with their ability to arrive quickly. In my mind I was assuming that I should be somewhat of a valued customer. However, today had the most bizarre customer service experience. The call center operator demanded (I'm not exaggerating) my first and last name, and when I refused to give him my last name (not trying to be conspiratorial, but come on people - it's a cab ride), the operator fired back that I should call another taxi service and hung up the phone. What kind of cab company issues policies to collect customers' names (they can't verify if the names are real anyways) and rudely sends away their faithful customers to the competitors? Apparently Airport & Town Taxi does.

• Cons: rude operators, bizarre policies, do not value your business
