Decent pizza, but little else going for it..
Decent pizza, but little else going for it. Family friendly restaurant, but in need of redecorating (and avoid the bathrooms if you can). Decent staff and buffet pizza selection used to mitigate this somewhat, but no longer.
I've frequented this Godfather's location for over 10 years, and my most recent Saturday buffet visit will likely be my last. Over my past several visits, the pizza selection on the buffet has ranged from being completely empty, to a few pieces of old pizza with heavy olives or toppings most people won't eat, with 30 or so people in the restaurant. A new pepperoni or other popular pizza shows up every 10-15 minutes, and is typically gone in seconds. They've also gone from putting crushed pepper and parmesan cheese on every table to setting just a few out, such that a few parties take the shakers and the rest of us are left without.
I attempted to bring this up to staff, and a girl blamed me as a customer for the lack of peppers and parmesan, stating they no longer put them on every table because customers were stealing them. She then pointed to a few old, rubbery pieces of pizza that had been there since I arrived half an hour earlier claiming that they did in fact have pizza on the buffet, ignoring that several people were standing there waiting for pizza.
When I asked to speak to a manager, she went into the kitchen and complained about the customers to another employee for a couple minutes. I got my coat to leave, and went to check the posted business license on the way out in an attempt to determine who the manager actually was, in hopes that expressing my concerns would help them resolve some of these habitual problems. This prompted her to come quickly and stand in front of the license plaque, blocking my view and preventing me from bringing this to the attention of management.
Until they get this ship righted, stay away!
Great buffet. Godfather's has the best pizza buffet hands down. For around $7 you can walk in and start filling up your plates with pizza for as long as you like. They offer the buffet every day at lunch and mon and tues night. They usually take requests for what you'd like. I rarely just order of the menu here since it can be pricey that way. Be warned that week day buffets are completely packed with tables of guys in shirts and ties. My absolute favorite thing at Godfather's is the cinnamon struesel dessert pizza. I believe it is my favorite food. The atmosphere is well, like an aging pizzeria but I don't go there for the atmosphere...I go there because the pizza is great, cheap and consistent.
