Tips for Frankies Pizza

language barrier when ordering. I sometimes order my boyfriend lunch & send it to his office as he works in a warehouse and often can't leave. When I tried to order today though, the employee who answered the phone was foreign, and had difficulties understanding the name & address I gave him. I will be highly amazed if any part of the order is delivered correctly!

Decent Pizza. Don't go looking for this place at night, not only is it tucked away in the corner but there are NO VISIBLE SIGNS that the place is even located in the plaza. It's in the same shopping center as Fat Nat's and Ace Hardware and Brueggers and happens to be next door to Brueggers. Good luck finding the place.

This place was recommended to us and we were promised this was good "Chicago Style pizza".

Coming from Chicago I can tell you it's close but not the real deal.

We got the Frankies Special - right ingredient even the sausage was perfect so what was the problem . . .

the dough/crust was not right, it was too hard, beyond crunch. The sauce was too watery - it would be great on some pasta dishes but too watery for pizza. Not enough cheese. True Chicago Style Thin Crust you can't see the sauce line, the cheese and sauce line are the same. Also presentation . . . Thin Style is cut into square not triangles.

Also had some cheese bread that was fantastic.

I don't recommend eating in, it's empty of people and the decor could benefit from a face lift. The walls are visibly scratched at all levels (we are not talking about 1 or 2 lines but multiple). The pictures are very nice but don't fit in. If the wish to make it feel "Italian" or like "Chicago" I say get some pictures of those places.
