Birthday Party

We took our daughter here for a last minute change of plans. New Hope bowl called us and said the had to cancel our reservations because they forgot the had something else going on! It was busy but I felt we were helped fast and friendly. Nice group of gals. At night just my husband and I came back. There was a band there that was so good they are probably rated top in the twin cities. I noticed a gal in such a neat outfit. It was 70's night. Very entertaining and enjoyable! I don't know if the place is under new ownership or just brought in this gal to bring in the business but watch out for her! She is moving in and changing it up. She was all over running the place. Place is "cool" again like it was when I hung out there in the 80's. Check it out on the Saturdays they have a band playing on the lanes! The actual bowl lanes! It was interesting and the kids by us thought it was the neatest thing!

I am wondering if BOWLINGGUY91 was at the same tournament we were at because some guy was complaining the same way when his child lost! This place is to rate it how it really is not to be angry at them because your child didn't win. I personally don't visit Doyle's more than 5-8 times a year. Mainly because of location from where I live. It is in need of some updates but the staff is great and very helpful. We always have a good time while there. The lanes are not that bad!

WORST PLACE FOR BOWLING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bowled there for a tournoment and i have to say it was the worst bowling alley I had ever been to. Half of the lanes are synthetic and the other half is wood. I believe that this one of the dumbest ideas for a bowling alley I have ever seen.I would reccomend to the owners to shut this place down and cut their loses. i believe that it should be condemed. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THAT ANYONE EVER BOWL THERE AGAIN!!.

• Pros: NONE!! IT STINKS!!!

Live Music/Open lanes

I like this place. We stopped here once to bowl just because we didn't know what to do on Friday night. About half the lanes were taken and it was half full in the bar where there was karaoke going on. Drinks were a good pour and we had a nice relaxing kick back time. This actually pulled us back they next weekend but this time it was calm on the lanes and a surprisingly really good band (but packed) in the bar. Don't know the name of them but I was told it they were basically the "home" band. The food we've only had once just because I just had surgery but the pizza we had was superb. Never knew this placed existed but glad we found it. I think we will go back often for their entertainment. We have now seen 2 different bands there. Very entertaining and no cover charge! Only downfall is the bartendars get so busy it takes time to get your next drink but all staff really tries to please and friendly. Wish the bar was a bigger, too.

• Pros: Great ppl, fun and entertaining.
• Cons: Older building, smaller bar

All Around Great Entertainment!

Although I wish they would update the machines and I bit of their look. I love the staff. Rita and Jackie Rock! Drinks Drinks Drinks! Are not only really cheap but they pour a good one!!! They make a great burger there, too. Only downfall is I think they close most of the summer. Either way you'd never be disappointed there.

• Pros: Great Staff! Great Drinks! Great Food! Great FuN!
• Cons: Clean but a bit run down (old) looking
