Good Prices, Poor Customer Service. The only reason I gave this dealership 1 star is because of Mark, the service manager. He was very professional and had great customer service, which unfortunately I can’t say about my sales person and manager. I had previously bought a car a few months ago and decided to trade it in because I needed something bigger to haul a trailer. I had to call the dealership FIVE different times to try and figure out if they had a vehicle that would fit my need. I talked to Rob, the Sales Manager on 2 different occasions and he said he would call me back to let me know what type of vehicles that might fit my need but he never did. After the 5th time calling the dealership and 2nd time talking to him, I just went up there to find a car. I picked out my car & I was on my way. The very next day, I was driving my car and the RPM's spiked to 6000 and the vehicle started accelerating. For rest of the day, the vehicle's RPM continued to spike into the 6000 range and it was very jerky when it shifted gears. On Friday I call the dealership & leave a message about the issue. I received no call all weekend. So Monday I call back & leave ANOTHER message asking them to call me immediately. By Monday night, I'm so disgusted I end up taking my car to another dealership & it wouldn't be fixed it til Friday. So I’ve driven the car a total of 4 days and it’s already in the shop for 4 days. I call Friendlys one last time on Thursday and I finally get Chad, my original sales guy & I ask him why he hasn't called me back after 3 calls. He said he was out of town. I tell him that I'd like to come up Friday and return my spare key & that I had some concerns about a couple of things. 1st one of my key fobs didn't work, 2nd, one of the inside compartments was stuck & 3rd my windshield wipers were junk & needed to be replaced. Friday afternoon, I get my vehicle from the other dealership & drive straight up to Friendly's. While I'm up there, I decide to get my car washed through the Pit Stop. So while my car was being washed, I asked them to check my tires b/c the tire pressure light came on. While they're filling the tires, I notice a nail in the tire. I ask Mark if they can fix it and he says it's too close to the sidewall & that I should talk to the salesperson. I first go to Chad & I can literally see him rolling his eyes. I tell him about the nail & he goes “Ok” and looks at me like I’ve got a horn growing out of my head. I just spent $26,000 on a vehicle & this is the service I get? He then gets Rob, the Sales Manager & I tell him about the nail and he says "So what do you want me to do about it". Really? Uh...How about fix it? He then gives me a time out signal & says "I can only do so much for free before I have to say no". The only "free" thing I’d gotten at this point me is a $20 cargo net. Everything was already defective before I even drove it off the lot. So he says he'll plug the tire but that's it. I tell him his own service manager said it wasn't safe but he said he wouldn't do anything else. I wait for a half hour & they end up telling me they have no plugs. Mark was very apologetic and understanding about the whole incident so it was nice to see someone was empthatic toward my situation. At this point, I just wanted to leave because I had things to do so I told him to put my spare so I could leave. I drove 140 miles round trip to this dealership to buy my vehicle, so it’s not like it’s in my back yard because I enjoyed my first experience but after this fiasco, you can assure that I won’t be back. I'm hoping my experience was an isolated incident and judging by the other positive reviews, I'm going to assume that the lack the customer service and professionalism I received from Chad & Rob isn't an indicator of the other salesmen at this place.…
Friendly and Good People!. To the owner of Friendly Chevy...Paul Roby is awesome! In December 3 days before Xmas my 2006 Saturn Vue was hit in the front near your dealership. I wasn't hurt but my beautiful Vue was missing a wheel and much of it's front end, I rode with the tow driver to your service department with no idea what to do other than call my husband. Paul Roby met me at the service entrance and within an hour had called my insurance company, the other drivers insurance company, got me a loaner vehicle (yes really), called my husband and helped me move about 20 gift wrapped items for my families Christmas from the Vue to the Impala I was going to drive! What a great guy! Thanks for taking care of me and my Vue! PS 10 days later and the Vue was home looking great! Friendly Chevrolet is great! Lori Davis Zimmerman Mn…
