Way over priced! And snotty server!. I have been to Keys numerous times as it's very convenient and I love their Italian sausage, but lately, every time I leave I say it's my last visit and this last time was the last straw. The food is always good but it's outrageously priced. We ordered the breakfast sandwich with Italian sausage and the meat was raw in the middle. Our "Pippi Longstocking" of a waitress, took the meat back and about 10 minutes later brought it back after it had been deep-fried (nice) harder than a hockey puck. Seriously...I would have broke a tooth. Not once did she apologize or even act nicely about it. I think she was irritated that she wore her way too short of shorts to work trying to get a man and we were taking her from the tables full of men to deal with our raw meat. Needless to say, I've had it with $15 breakfasts if I have coffee and add hash browns to my ham and cheese omelets. And I'm done with Pippi. Who wears shorts in October anyway. If you're looking for good home cooking with great portions at a good price, I highly suggest RJ Riches on Hwy 10 in Mounds View. You won't be disappointed!

Minneapolis chain serving lumberjack platters of home-style Midwestern food since 1973.. In Short
Nothing fancy, just lots of it (there must be three potatoes in a plate of American fries). A perennial staple of local "best breakfast" lists, Keys slings hash (roast beef or sausage), steak and eggs, omelets and pancakes (blueberry-bran, raisin-pecan). Besides breakfast, Keys serves burgers, hot and cold sandwiches and motherly comforts such as turkey and meat loaf. In case you want something sweet, the bakery turns out mammoth cookies, pies, caramel rolls and cakes.

Awesome food...huge portions. This is the only restaurant that claims home cooking flavor and truely delivers. The turkey dinner is as good as any Thanksgiving meal I have had. The roast pork is yummy too. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried.

pretty good, big value. the food isn't incredible, but it's home cooking and plenty of it for the price.
