Terrible Online To Go Service - your order will not be right. I work in Bloomington and our office usually orders lunch out 3-4 days a week. We tried Chili's to go online ordering last week for the first time. Absolutely everything we ordered was wrong and of course we didn't check it before returning to the office. The steaks were cooked wrong, the meals were missing bread, they sent the wrong sauce for our appetizer and also didn't put the jalapenos on the side as their online menu offers. I called and spoke to the manager who offered to send out gift certificates. We did get the gift certificates, $20 even though our meals were $32, and tried them again today. Today, our meals included bread and the steaks were cooked right, however, they again forgot the sauce for the appetizer. Also, the "fried cheese" had a very freezer-burned taste. Very disappointed as Chili's is one of the chains that I usually like. I really think they need to double check their to go orders better. Maybe the service inside the restaurant is better, but definitely don't trust the take out.
Can't Beat the Price, but Know What to Order.
I ate here with a friend and got the three courses for two people for $20. I treated my friend and for an appetizer, two entrees, dessert, tax, and 15% tip I paid less than $25. That's hard to beat. We even had leftovers to take home. You do have to order certain items to get that deal, but it's not bad if you like burgers, tacos, and salads (what makes up most of that menu). Otherwise the main menu has pretty reasonable prices (about $16 for a steak and two sides for example and under $10 for other entrees and appetizers).
The food was pretty good, nothing special though. It's on the same par as the other big chains like Applebees and Outback Steakhouse (although Outback seems to be a step above Chili's in food quality). I would recommend their burgers, that's what we ordered and they make great, big and tasty burgers! I would recommend not straying from their specialties, burgers and Mexican food. I ordered Country Fried Steak from another Chili's (Roseville) and it was gross, inedible in fact. So I would stay away from that entree. The Molten White Chocolate Cake is awesome! I highly recommend that!
It's a nice, friendly, and fairly quiet atmosphere. It's a great place for all ages and families. A great place to get together overall as long as you stay away from the Country Fried Steak.
Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene..
In Short
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
