In Short – This giant shopping gallery hosts 150 stores on three different levels. Along with the first J. Crew store in the Twin Cities, stores include Games by James, Godiva Chocolatier and Crabtree & Evelyn. The usual mall tenants are Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Brookstone, The Body Shop, Express, Gap and Victoria's Secret. Macy's and JCPenney anchor the mall, and restaurants include Ruby Tuesday, California Pizza Kitchen and Macy's Marketplace Deli.

Shopping is Easy -- plus gift wrapping!

I live closer to the MOA but will go to Southdale any time. And now during the holidays, you can get gifts wrapped on the main level near Guest Services (outside Vic's Secret). I understand that none of the main stores are gift wrapping anymore.
STRESS LESS MALL

Southdale is my favorite Mall .It has great parking , gathers some of the best and fun restaurants such as PF Changs, you can have a quick massage and Oxygen at the Ocean Waves store which is very convenient during a shopping break or waiting for a movie and has great stores. It's a place to spend some quality time without the excess crowd.
- Pros: parking, store variety, ambience
- Cons: some shops are closing down
Convenience shopping

Southdale is convenient to many of the southern suburbs and much easier to get around than MOA. I like Southdale better than any of the other Dales!
- Pros: Convenient, Easy access, Parking
- Cons: Busy at holidays, Prices higher
I hate Southdale

I hate Southdale Mall. It is the snobbiest mall I've ever been to. I do not feel comfortable there. Both the people shopping and the store clerks aren't friendly. It does not have much variety either. All the stores are the same thing over and over again.
- Cons: , Limited variety
