Good food and juices but Bad Service. Food is great and the menu has good options for grass eaters. The juices and smoothies are to die for. The service isn't great at all. I went there on a Saturday evening and it took long for the server to serve, get the check and check us out. It felt like an eternity.…
Great food, but where's the service??. What is the worth of a wholesome meal, when the service creates so much anxiety? I've eaten tasty, colorful meals in this restaurant for years, but the last two visits were met with such poor service that I will hestitate before going again. The servers were much more interested in interacting w/ each other than w/ the patrons. On both of my last two visits I had to flag someone down to take my order -- this after sitting at the table for 20 and 15 minutes respectively (I was hungrier on the second time, so less patient). Nourishment is more than what is on the plate.…
There's a reason that you might have to wait an hour for a table here!.
Are you people on meth? Why would anyone whine about getting free bread and hummus?
This restaurant is a true gem. I'm there twice a week like clockwork. the BEST peanut butter blondies EVER!
Reasonably priced wholesome food is NOT easy to find, and this place always delivers. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal at the Good Earth. Not sure what the problem is with some of these complainers. They have a really great selection of fish and vegetarian items (now that the TC is sorely lacking in veggie restaurants, this is a must-go for any veg or vegan)
If you are veg, you can't miss with the the enchiladas, the planet burger (homemade, not a frozen gardenburger wannabe) the cold veggie sandwich, the tostadas and the challa french toast.
The risotto is UNREAL, and the huevos rancheros always deliver.
True, there seems to be a pretty high turnover here for servers, although I do see people who have been working here for a long time. The high turnover in servers does not affect the food in ANY way!
Do yourself a favor and check it out!
There's a reason that you might have to wait an hour for a seat - because it's GOOD FOOD!…
A bad relic of a time where healthy eaters were punished for their beliefs.. The last time that I went to the Good Earth in Edina, we were not even given the opportunity to eat. You see, we were refugees from the ridiculously popular Original Pancake House and despite the fact that the Good Earth still reliably serves Eighties style bland health food we felt there might be a strong chance of getting a table and most importantly our two year old toddler some breakfast. My son had recently been diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy so as a precaution I asked the hostess if they used peanut oil. The hostess nervously stammered that she was not sure that they didn't and that she needed to go get her manager. She quickly exited into the back room and returned with a frosty blonde Edina lady who assured us that we would have to go elsewhere as they have peanuts in the kitchen. I attempted to communicate the fact that my son's allergy is such that as long as he does not ingest peanuts or anything related to peanuts, he would indeed be fine. She became even more adamant that she could not and would not guarantee the absence of peanuts in my son's food. Unbelievable. Now the petty part of me wants to tell you that I know for a fact those bread baskets are sometimes made up of other people's uneaten bread. I also want to tell you that the Good Earth's kitchen is filled with not so good Earth like materials. But that would be petty. I will close by stating that I will never patronize this mediocre relic of a time when vegetarians only ate tasteless food (see mudpie).…
The look and service of Dennys/Perkins in the Galleria!!.
My mother in law has been boasting about this place for years. She's a huge fan because this restaurant is healthy for you and the food is organic. We went on Saturday night with no reservations.
I'm glad I wasn't too hungry because the wait was about 35 minutes. My initial reaction to the place was that I thought it was extremely below par for being in the Galleria-but then again, most of the
"shops"in the Galleria don't blend together very well (but thats a whole other review). For starters, we got a bread basket served w/hummus, edamame and artichoke dip and for our entrees, my mother in law had brown rice w/szechuan chicken and I had the Chiang Mai noodles w/spicy coconut curry. The starters were really good and fullfilling for such small portions. By the time our entrees were served, we were too full to finish our food which wasn't such a bad thing because my dish was curry OVERLOAD. My mother in law's dish wasn't too bad but I wasn't a fan of the brown rice. All in all, the food was okay. I probably wouldn't eat there again unless I wanted to hang out at Denny/Perkins or was desperate to start eating healthier.…
