Great Selection and Service!. SR Harris has been around over 40 years for good reason. The best selection and the best prices in the Twin Cities.

Thank you SR Harris Fabric!

Terrible service and racial slurs. I went to S R Harris today in order to buy fabric for my bridesmaid dresses. A man was helping me look for the fabric I wanted when he asked a coworker named Dimitri if he remembered a similarly colored fabric to the one I wanted. They immediately started fighting right over my head in a very adversarial tone. I felt uncomfortable and tried to hint that I could look on my own by saying, "I don't need anything today. I'll just have a look around." The guy who was helping me asked when I needed the fabric. I responded, "Next summer." He said, "Oh please, we'll all be dead by then." He then went on to say something about politics and asked Dimitri if he had heard that Al Franken won the Senate seat. Dimitri responded, "I don't care about that J*w. I don't care about Coleman either, J*w. And now we have (inaudible) one in the White House." I shoved the fabric sample I was carrying into the guy's hand and said, "After hearing that conversation, I will not be giving you a dollar of my business." They tried to yell after me that they were only joking, but I just said, "No thank you," and left. I cannot believe it! I don't care what your political persuasion is, you must realize this behavior is absolutely inappropriate. Also, citysearch will not allow me to type the first three letters of the word Jewish, so I substituted it with J*w.

UPDATE: After an email exchange with the owner, I have come to believe that S R Harris as a company, which also happens to be Jewish-owned, does not hold the views of the slanderous employee. However, because the owner cannot tell me whether or not Dmitri was fired, I will not return there, as I do not feel safe in so doing. I hope that S R Harris has taken this situation very seriously and will consider further training for all its employees.
