Editorial Review for Chuck E. Cheese's – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Part arcade, part playground, part children's theater, this theme restaurant entertains children as much as it feeds them. Rated-G video games and auto-racing simulators provide an interactive counterpoint to the bigger-than-life singing animal robots. The playground, a huge collection of multicolored plastic balls and elevated Sky Tubes, lets grownups breathe while energized tykes dive and climb. Aside from pizza, the limited menu has grilled sandwiches, hot dogs and for dessert, cotton candy.

Food is ok, just normal fast food fare. This pizza was tasteless. But with toddler mechanical games, entertainment, and video games, it makes for a possible destination for your children. This would be an ok place to go maybe during the weekday. But I just left from a kid's birthday party and it was a madhouse. Too many kids, too many people, not enough room to move around. The lines are long for first turning your tickets into reciepts, and then you have to wait again in another long line to redeem you reciept for prizes that are worthless. Do yourself a favor and do not hold your birthday parties here unless it's on a weekday. My friends thought it would be easier throwing the party at kid's restaurant, but they quickly realized it was more of a headache than it was worth. BTW- The address on this CitySearch page (for the Blaine,MN location) is incorrect, go to the actual chuck e cheese website for an accurate list of locations.

Pros: A lot kid games to keep your children busy

Cons: Really busy on the weekends. Try to go only during the weekdays.

Brightly colored surroundings and loud music sung by large mechanical critters make for kid-pleasing pizza parties.  See the full editorial review.
