I returned today with my sister-in-law and it has only gotten worse. The consultants don't listen. There were 5 brides in the same area attempting to try on dresses. My SIL had to walk through racks of dresses to get to her room, literally had to part the rack and walk through them. She tried on 5 dresses while the consultant offered to add cap sleeves backwards. It was a major train wreck. We left after the consultant pulled a 6th dress that had no hint of what the bride even asked for. The employees are phoning it in, they are there to make a sale and could care less about what you want or ask for, and the place needs to be 3 times the size for the amount of brides they try and move through at the same time. I'm begging you to go elsewhere if you're looking for any sort of positive experience. This place got too popular and now they are just as bad as David's Bridal.
Loved this Store!. After driving by this store almost everyday on my way to work, I finally got the chance to look at this shop for my own wedding dress. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and brought my two sisters, my best friend, Grandma and my mom to the appointment. My sales girl was great and welcomed everyone I had brought with to the appointment. It was really important to me that everyone could go with! I tried on about 15 dresses and ended up buying the first dress I had tried on. I found the perfect dress and only spent $899. I thought that I was going to have to spend $2000 to find what I was looking for, but finding a dress for $899 was a bonus. I love my dress and I loved my shopping experience. It was a perfect day of shopping with my family.
The Shadiest Place EVER. I went in to the Wedding Shoppe on black Friday. They knew I was coming in to try on only one dress, and possibly buy it that day. During my fitting, I made sure to ask my consultant if there were any trunk shows coming up in the next couple of months. She hesitated, but said no. Once I said I was going to purchase the dress, she said I could get 20% off if we also got our tuxedos there. I agreed and went downstairs to pay. I asked again if I'd get a discount for paying in full, they said no. Regardless, I paid in full. Just as they were handing me the receipt, a girl behind us asked if we got the "white Friday special 20% off". I asked the cashier and she tried to say there wasn't a special that day. I asked to talk to a manager, and she tried to divert me from doing so. Then she caught herself in a lie saying they did have a white Friday special but that she couldn't give me 40% off. (which I never asked for, 20% and 20% doesn't equal 40%...duh). 10 minutes later the manager finally came downstairs, didn't hear my story, just said she wasn't going to give me any more discount. THEN, to top it off, my consultant called and left me a message saying they were right! In summary, they knew I would pay top price for the dress so they took advantage of that. It isn't fair that other people got a larger discount just for being there that day, and I didn't. I demanded my money back, and am happy to say the Wedding Connection in Maplewood is going to give me 30% off after hearing what happened to me at the Wedding Shoppe. Unbelievable... if I could give zero stars, I would have.
They scam you.
So I call ahead to say I want to try on TWO dresses - I even give them the style information. They tell me that they will have them and it sounds great - and they will see me at my appointment.
I arrive at my appointment only they conveniently do NOT have the dresses I explicitly asked to try on. In fact, they pretended that they had no recollection or NOTE of the conversation. But then she shows up with pictures and notes detailing the phone conversation. So she lied. She told me I could BUY the dress and then just... have it without trying it on but I could not return it if I chose that route.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
PS - go somewhere else. They won't lie to you saying they have the dress just so you walk in their store.
