I am very surprised by these reviews. We have female and male factor fertiity issues. I had seen Dr. Pavelka (awesome man) at RMIA for over a year before moving on to IVF with Dr. Bayless. I am finishing up my 1st round of IVF *hopeful* and have zero complaints. Everyone you deal with is very polite, helpful, knowledgeable and honest! IVF begins with an orientation that covers EVERYTHING from the process, drugs, cost/programs, options, risks, success rates. Like another commenter said, they are there to get you pregnant! With their risk sharing programs they all but guarantee success (or you get your money back!). This is a huge risk for them to take on! Dr. Bayless can be a little dry but she isn't messing around, you are encouraged to ask as many questions as you can and she tells it like it is. Regarding the writing down of your own follicle sizes, personally it made me feel more involved, I knew exactly what was going on in there! I don't think it has anything to do with the staff size, everything there runs on time as scheduled and I think it would be a waste to have a nurse in the room just to write down follicle sizes. I also did not feel they were "after my money," they were clear on what it costs and when money was due. Please remember this is a business, these procedures are costly. They are not going to provide their services and then cross their fingers hoping that you will pay for it.
I read the reviews, and I will say that I felt the same way after my first appt. at RMIA. My husband convinced me to keep going there, and I am so glad he did! Dr. Bayless may not be your cookie cutter Dr. BUT she means business!! They are there to GET YOU PREGNANT, which is a serious matter, that I feel everyone there took very seriously. I went in every week, and saw many different nurses, that were ALL wonderful to work with. Yes, you write down your own follical sizes, but that's because both her hands are busy. Duh! It actually gives you something to do to keep you busy while your not in the most comfortable position. All in all, I would recommend RMIA to anyone! I got pregnant with my first cycle of IUI after trying unsuccessfully for 2 years.
Highly dissatisfied – I did my 1st cycle of ivf with rmia. I had dr. Bayless who has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. It always seemed like she was annoyed by our questions. During every ultrasound, my husband had to write down what the follicle sizes were, so they are a little understaffed I would say. Some of the nurses were nice, but very young...Rmia seems to make it clear that money is their main concern, there was always the financial mngr running credit card after credit card at the front desk. We never felt like they actually cared about us as patients. I am now trying a 2 nd round at a different clinic in MPLS and it is like night and day! There's actually an ultrasound tech AND a nurse at all ultrasounds, they happily answer all questions, and actually seem to care that we walk out of there with a baby. I would not recommend Rmia.
Not a pleasant experience – RMIA does not work with patients and what is best for them. They are just after your money. Keep your money and go elsewhere.
Very DISAPPOINTED with RMIA – Based my personal experience with RMIA I would recommend others to look elsewhere .
