Great Food, Horrible Management

Went here with my girlfriend and parents to celebrate my birthday - because, hey, I'm not buying. Certainly an experience I won't forgot. Started off on a bad foot when they say us in different areas of the restaurant telling us both that "the rest of the party hasn't arrived". Took us 20 minutes to figure out that they had indeed arrived - our first waitress laughed and said "It happens all the time"... really!? In a high-class restaurant you can't get get the parties together when they make reservations under a not-so-common last name... wow! It was very busy for a Tuesday evening, but we got our food fairly quick and it was delicious - I tried a little of everyone's just to make sure :) After we were done with dinner and dessert, we waited another 20 minutes for our waitress to return with the bill. She was either that spacey or that busy... either way, the restaurant manager is responsible. That said, great food, but there are so many other great steak places in Minnesota that I will visit before coming back here. The next day I find out via Facebook that many of my other friends thought the service was horrible, too. So my assessment is that they jack up the prices to attract the pretentious eaters who won't eat anything under $50 a plate, but could really give a darn about the service. Sad, so much potential...

Yummy

I have only been there once but it was awesome!! My husband has a hard time spending a lot of money on a meal but he took me anyway. He ordered the wallye and I had the filet with lump crab. That was the most tender steak I have ever had in my lfe. The bread they give you is to die for. My husband was wuite impressed witht he food and didn't even complain when he got the $100 bill at the end.

I hope to visit there again soon!

Excellent everything

We were most impressed with the service, food, and overall experience. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious especially the scallop and tuna tartar apps!

Our only small complaint was that the table for twos were a little too close together. We felt that the tables next to us could easily hear everythign we were saying. Also when the waiter was at the table next to us, he was practically on top of our table.

The only other complaint would be the bottle of wine we ordered was way to sweet. I ended up ordering a glass of something else. They comped my glass which was very nice and appreciated. If something more was done about the bottle that we sepnt $50 on and only drank half would have been nice, but overall didn't feel that was their obligation. We left very happy. Also, batherooms were SO CLEAN and hand cloth handtowel were a nice touch.
