Things have definitely changed since they closed up the Wayzata location, but the Linden Hills location is great. A bit of a hike, but worth it!
Hans Kraft. Hey Extrados Customers! I was super sad to hear that Hans Kraft (stylist) moved from Extrados. Via Facebook I found out that he moved to The Uptown Hair District. Quickly falling off the map.... I had been a regular customer of their location in Wayzata....when I showed up recently, there was a sign on the door stating the rent hadn't been paid in 6 months and the owner had 2 days to remove all items from that store! I had a package that was only good at that location, so I called this location and was told nothing transferred to this store. I have had so many issues with this place (all 3 locations) over the years and continued giving them chances....but I'm done. I am officially looking for a new place. I have heard that quite a few of the oldies-but goodies brow specialist and facialists (Sonja, Tiffany, Brook, & Christina) all either stayed in the area or opened new shops on their own in the area. I am officially beginning my search for those ladies! Extrados---LEAH---you should be ashamed of yourself for stiffing rent and treating your loyal customers the way you have. You deserve these stores to close!
Bad service, very disappointing.
I went here for the first time after receiving a coupon for a haircut (I had been getting my brows done at the other location and had always had a great experience there). I was initially disappointed when I was told they only had two stylist there, a man and a woman. I scheduled with the woman. First, I was given the wrong directions and wrong parking information by the person on the phone. I asked if they had a parking lot and was told that they did. I am fully aware of the street parking in mpls so this is always one of the first questions I ask. There was no lot when I got there, only street parking. It took forever to find a spot that was 2 blocks away!
I called again to get the right directions and I was told that they were sorry for the wrong info and it would still be fine to come b/c it was their bad. When I finally got inside there was no one at the front desk. I waited another 5 minutes for someone to finally show up.
When they did they said they would have to reschedule me for "being too late for my appt"! After explaining what happened and that I had called 10 minutes prior the person upfront grabbed the "stylist" and she was so rude. Saying she has a lot of clients and she cannot inconvenience all of them because I cant show up for my appt. on time. After finally explaining everything she agreed to see me but said in the future she would not accept this. I was thinking "Me either!" I was pissed but decided that maybe she just had a super busy day.
When I got in the chair I told her exactly what I wanted and explained that I have curly hair which I straightened every day (my current style was an overgrown asymmetrical bob- no bangs). She proceeded to argue with me about why that style wouldn't work for my hair because its curly (I wanted Nicole Richies latest style of bangs and straight or wavy hair b/c I was planning on growing it out). I felt like she was totally not listening to anything I said. She refused to style my hair afterward, "due to time" and proceeded to wash and cut it, saying that she would have to do something else because what I wanted wouldn't work with my face shape and texture of hair. I agreed to trust her b/c I was told that she was one of the best.
When she finished I looked like I was the mom in some 80's family photo. Horrible! I was so upset. After the appt. she spent 10 minutes trying to convince me to buy a whole bunch of products. Some of them were great products but I thought she had an appt. that I was making her late for? Why did she have so much time to talk about products when she could have been styling my hair?
I decided to schedule another appt. simply b/c I like to give people a 2nd chance. However, after waiting another 15 minutes and there still was no one at the front desk, neither customers or staff, I decided I was done! I marched back to her EMPTY chair and firmly stated I was still waiting to pay and leave. She said she would send someone out and finally 5 minutes later someone showed up. I paid and got the heck out of there! I will NEVER return or recommend this place to anyone. Bad service, bad cut, bad attitudes!
Needless to say the lady who did my brows at the other location has since left for another salon. She was great so I have continued to see her. I am so glad that this crazy salon is no longer getting any of my business!
WORST BROW WAX EVER!!!. Well, I went to Extrados to see Tiffany, but when I got there I was put with Jennifer. I new the second I looked at her tattoos hanging out everywhere, I was in trouble. I should have walked out, but because I had thought Extrados had a good reputation for eyebrows I stayed. First of all, Jennifer smelled like an ash tray which is disgusting to have in your face even for 15 minutes. Then she completely butchered my eyebrows, and had enough nerve to tell me I needed to grow back a few areas that she plucked out!! This girl has no business waxing anyone, it was by far the WORST BROW WAX EVER!! I'm so disappointed in Extrados, they have really dropped the ball on training their Brow Artists.
