Citysearch Editorial Review.
Now in its new home in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, this one-time cabaret-style coffee shop is all grown up. Metal tables and thrift-store chairs still greet breakfast lovers, coffee drinkers and internet hounds who hover over their laptops well into the late afternoon. But when the sun starts to set, college students and neighborhood residents fill up this dark and welcoming spot, sipping on Belgian beers, wines and homemade margaritas as acoustic and art-house music fills the room and faces flicker with the soft glow of candlelight. Burgundy walls and local art still give this laid-back spot a coffee-joint feel, but the dark-wood bar showcasing more than 20 brews from around the world reveal that Acadia is all about planting its roots firmly in this hip, eclectic neighborhood.
