Located in the shadows of St. Paul Cathedral in the beautiful and up-and-coming Cathedral Hill neighborhood, the Cheeky Monkey is all about the bold and the brassy. The walls are decked out in a bright, cherry-lipstick red; posters, prints, album covers and framed comic books offer an irreverent wink from the Marilyn Monroe-lipped walls; and the menu--filled with sandwiches, hot plates, meats, cheeses, beer and wine--celebrates simple amusements and pure pleasures. Unique and must-try twists on classic deli sandwiches include the pot-roast on ciabatta and the Nutella and banana. Don’t let the wood floors and cozy fireplace nook fool you: The Cheeky Monkey is pretense-free and plenty fun.
