Amazing. Go there now.
The food is amazing. I highly recommend getting cajun seasoned fries. However, the deep fried green beans are awesome as well. I've had the Frenchie (a french dip styled hamburger with spicy au jus) and the Breakfast bluecy. Both are fabulous. I have only had their burgers, but I've heard from friends that they have great salads too.

Best burger in town!.
Go here for a good burger - don't go to the Nook (or anywhere else). I got the classic Blucy with lettuce and tomato. The beef was nice and flavorful and actually cooked to medium! The lettuce was butter lettuce, which was a nice touch. And if you get a booth you can draw on the chalkboard wall while you wait for your food, which was a fun added bonus. Overall, the food was fantastic and I'm definitely going back.
The only drawbacks are that it is a small place so you'll probably have to wait. Also, the night I was there my waitress was a bit slow and she had to come back and ask me what I ordered again, and when it came out they forgot my lettuce and tomato. But it wasn't that bad and the food more than makes up for it!

Adventurous burgers and happy hour specials..
Twenty-somethings with an appetite for adventurous burgers and happy hour specials have a second home at this Merriam Park pub. Rather than compete with Casper & Runyon’s Nook for the title of Best Juicy Lucy in St. Paul, this relative newcomer saw fit to reinvent the thing. The Blue Door’s most notoriously tasty offering is the Juicy Blucy, a burger infused with decadent bleu cheese in place of the usual cheddar. The experimental streak doesn’t end there: Garlic, bacon, pickled carrots and pineapple are among the other ingredients deployed across the pub’s audacious menu. A crowd-pleasing appetizer lineup includes tater tots, beer-battered green beans and deep fried pickles (see, you don’t have to wait until State Fair time). Heady craft beers from the likes of Surly and Rush River are also on offer, making this a popular choice among the area’s many coeds and recent grads.
