Citysearch Editorial Review. Especially in parka weather, you won’t find much common ground between Minneapolis and the ethnic neighborhoods of Southern California. One rare exception is the recent proliferation of some truly great taquerias in and around the Twin Cities, and Northeast Minneapolis’ El Taco Riendo is among the best. From tamales to tripe tacos (yes, tripe--look it up if you must), the menu offers a range of authentic Mexican eats at pleasingly low prices. Indeed, if this place had a drive-thru and stayed open until 2am, it would make corporate abominations like Taco Bell truly obsolete. Particularly good are the zesty chorizo and the range of green and red salsas you can use to adorn your meal.…
