After being told by another company that our T.V. could not be fixed and to just "junk" it, we called Alex Audio Video and he came out and fixed out 8 year old T.V. and it runs beautifully. Thank you Alex it was nice to visit with you all the while you worked on my T.V. and you didn't leave until it ran perfectly and the price was very reasonable.
A+++ I had an RTI remote control that broke and Alex fixed it in about 10 minutes and didn't even charge me. Thanks, Alex!
I had my Marantz Sr 14 ex receiver at Alex AV for nearly 4 months until it was fixed. Whenever I would call, I would be told that they were waiting on parts from Marantz or that the tech is only working 2 days a week. Most of the time it was the waiting on parts excuse. Half the time when I would call Dave would answer the phone and it was a usual Jeckle and hyde routine from being rude and slamming the phone receiver in your ear to being very nice and helpful! I never knew how he was going to act!
4 months and 400$ later, I went to pick up the receiver and wanted them to demo it before taking it home. Dave had a minor meltdown over hooking it up and was making snarky comments when I just wanted to finish signing and paying so I could leave!
Now, a week later my receiver is having issues powering on. I will not take it back to them to fix -even if it is their fault! I'd rather ship it out for repair than go back to them.
This is not good customer service. They are pretty much the only player in town for receiver repair and they know it.

Matt, You do have a 90 day warranty on this unit and if it is not powering on properly that is a different issue than what you brought in for however we will take a look at it. It is your prerogative to send it elsewhere since you did get reimbursed from the “good deal ” guy you bought it from. I feel you are not giving us the chance we deserve and I will respond to your postings.
do not bring here item here i brought them a dual cassette tape deck to have it demagnetized and they told me everythig in the unit had corroded and wanted 183 bucks to fix it plsy the 50 to inspect it it has been 6 weeks and it is not done yet..... they are really a bunch of rip offs
You brought your 1980 tape deck into our shop we said 4 weeks for an estimate. You brought it in on 12-11-2012 during a huge holiday season so time was a little longer. Our estimate was given for $180 for both tape decks 1-10-2013. Only 1 side B was approved. We found the belts and it did take 30 days to get the belts (parts are a challenge but we prevail). The charge was $125 minus the estimate $50 balance you paid $ 75,16. Not $180 plus $50. It was picked it up on 2-16-1013.
Way too long – Had a receiver under warranty and this was the only shop by Onkyo. I feel they might put warranty replacements on back burner since it doesn't pay as well as straight out of pocket customers. They said 3 weeks which seemed long but if they're busy what can you do. After two calls three weeks later they finally ordered the part. They said if they have it they'll get it in five days. If not then longer. Just longer. Since they "ordered" it, you would think they knew if it was in stock or not. So here I am five weeks later with absolutely no e.t.a. from them. As a pc tech myself, I never miss an e.t.a. I get excuse after excuse with this place.
A Wasted Month – I should have paid more attention to the One Star reviews on this site. Alex AV was not good. Some people have given them good marks, but I notice others have had the same unsatisfactory experience I did. You can
what great service!!! – My old rear-projection TV now longer showed Inputs. I scoured the Internet. Nothing. I wasted $28 on a Internet service that was no help. I called Alex Audio & Video. Alex himself returned my call and help me navigate through the hidden factory menus to reset -- and fix! -- my TV. And he refused payment! He asked only for a recommendation. Here it is, Alex; and I couldn't be more happy to give it. You're the best, man!
