I was going to get a Crowd Cut deal for this place as I would love to get a brazilian wax and have a place to stay loyal to but after these comments, I am SO nervous to do it! :/ I appreciate these review sites but I also know that my experience could be different than others. So torn!

GREAT SERVICE!. I had some appts. made for micro facial, medi and pedi. WOW! The Micro facial was FANTASTIC! I defin. recommend this! My medi and pedi was very nice and the lady did a great job. The spa itself was very warm, cozy and they were busy. I was there for about 3 hrs and seen a variety of their clients from men, women and children. The staff there were very friendly and I would defin. go back!

Harm.Forgiveness. I would like to express that I really like the Gel manicure I received by Tuo (? name spell) on my hands, it most definately lasted the 2 weeks she said it would. Each of us has to decide for ourselves and can in a moment with another have a completely different experience. I wish this business well. There are aspects I would change re: customer 'service'. The tools used on me were in a case, so perhaps this was an improvement following a complaint, as all of us can improve when we listen to feedback from others. The manager is not always responsible for how staff behaves, each of us ideally need to do our best w/o a parent or manager around, some people waste time. I would caution that the 30 minute massage for $85 on a 'pad' ? Futon Matress is not a good idea in my opinion.There is a Shiatsu table that may achieve the effect you are seeking. 30 minutes at $65 can also be too expensive depending on the ability of the practioner. This is my frustration with the Spa & Beauty Industry. Charging large fee's and the service is not equivilant. The Massage Therapist I worked with has very good potential, however there are aspects that need to change for optimal customer service by everyone.

Luxery Pedicure...Not!. First time here and will be my last.

Bought a luxury Pedicure off of Trubates. Advertised a $65 pedicure. Upon arrival I was asked to pick a polish color. I had about 20 choices and the polish had been thinned, which I know some salons do to extend the bottle. I was offered to have calluses done for an extra $7. I refused since I thought a luxury pedicure should include that. The foot wrap felt awesome but since my calluses were basically roughed up by a scrub bar they turned blue like the cream from the wrap. I have had pedicures for over a decade and this by far was the stingiest one by far. They only have 2 pedi chairs so it is not the core of their business and they don't do it well. Don't waste your money, I ended up doing my own at home the next day. Waste of good money.

However, I would like to clarify some of your questions. “I wonder if they were licensed.” In the city of St. Louis Park, anyone who practices massage therapy must be certified and licensed with a complete background check. Our staff at Genuine Spa are licensed professionals and abide by all rules. In addition to your first question, you also wanted to know why the massage therapists were not dressed in uniform. Genuine Spa is an upscale salon. We are proud to create a trendy personality and professional image. Our clients look to us, not only for our skills, but for our companionship as well. As for your comment about the men customers, we do not discriminate against race, color, age, and even sex. We are happy to service all women, children, and men equally. Read before entering. I think professionals should really check on these types of salons out there. You never know what could be going on behind closed doors. But I do see very young girls, and not dress like a professional massage therapist would. I do think something else. Overall they are nice, but who knows.

Something other than a salon.... I was at the salon a while back getting a manicure and pedicure done. I did notice very young girls going to the back room with men one after another. I wonder if they were licensed. It made me felt like there was a lot more going on than just massages. Shouldn't massage therapists wear some kind of uniform for a more professional appearance? But instead she was in heels and regular stylish clothing; hair down and makeup done. Not just so there were only men going in and out. And they seem to be very generous with giving tips during check outs. I have heard about salons like this all around but didn't think this one could be like it. I think that private investigators should check up on salons like this more often.

Bee's the best!. My first visit to Bee was a wonderful experience! She took such good care of me and the experience could only have been improved if I'd been offered a blanket once again when she started spritzing me w/ cool water to tighten those pores. Nonetheless, I was led to relaxation beyond belief...thanks so much, Bee!
