Worst Experience I Have Ever Had!. My husband and I visited Casa Nostra this last Saturday and I ordered my usual, a Tortellini Alfredo ($11.99) with shrimp ($3.00) and vegetables ($2.50). My husband ordered a Spicy Regatoni ($13.99) and we shared Calamari ($8.99) for our appetizer. We visited around 8 pm on a Saturday night and though there were plenty of open tables in the new addition (bar area) we were not seated for over 30 minutes. At one point I asked the hostess if she was aware of our willingness and desire to sit at the first available table. She was polite and stated the tables were not ready, this gave me the impression they were understaffed. Once seated, our waiter James took our order. However I would describe James more as a "go get it boy" rather than a waiter. James was unable to anticipate our needs. Basic needs such as silver wear and refills were continuously unmet, standard items were only brought when asked. Good waiters anticipate the customers needs. We waited another 25 minutes before we received our Calamari. Plates were not served with our appetizer. When we finally received our dinner I immediately noticed the texture and consistency of our meals. Both meals were made with an alfredo sauce which is supposed to be rich and creamy. However our sauces were both extremely runny and soup like. My husband who never complains stated he could drink the sauce out of a straw it was so runny. I myslef compared my meal to dumpling soup and not pasta. To add insult to injury the meal only came with 5 small salad sized shrimp which was unsatisfactory given the upcharge for the extra shrimp. After contemplation I decide to send my meal back. I told our waiter James the meal was unsatisfactory and far to watered down. His response was "Thats how it is, its supposed to be like that." I let him know that I order the same item every time I visit and that I am well aware of how it "always is" and how it should be. He then stated they had a new cook and they have had multiple complaints. At one point he asked "What would you like me to do?" I stated I would like a new Tortellini made properly. He refused and told me it will be the same. Needless to say we were extremely unsatisfied with food and service.
Worst Experience Ever. Went there last night and was excited because it was busy which we hoped meant good food. There was an hour wait for a table so sat at the bar. The couple next to us looked disgusted said the service was slow and the food was terrible. Well I expect slow service at a busy restaurant. Took at least 10 min. to get our drinks ordered. No big deal. We ordered pizza and a salad. I also asked for one of my favorite wines he said they don't serve it by the glass. Then a girl came around with samples of it and told me it was $6 a glass. So I told him I wanted a glass which he got for me after another 10 min wait. Then we saw a pizza come out and put behind the bar. We saw our server look at it and the read the ticket 3 times and ever other server read the ticket too but no one bothered to serve the pizza. I started timing it and it sat there for over 7 min. I finally got his attention and asked if it was our pizza. He went over and got it and threw it on the bar with no comment. The pizza was cold. I asked about our salad and he said he didn't know where it was. So I asked to take it home so I could warm it up and said I wasn't paying for it. The manager came over and told me he took the salad off our bill and the pizza was 1/2 price. I said we never got the salad so of course we weren't paying for it. He said well this is what you get for ordering food at the bar. I said what? You can't order food at the bar? He said well you won't get good service. He took the pizza to box up and I said I wanted to watch him box it so no one spit on it. He told me to get out of his restaurant and never come back. I said what you are kicking me out? He said he was going to call the cops if I didn't leave. I am a woman and have never been treated so poorly by anyone. I told him I would post this experience on the web and he said good All press is good press. We went next door to Papa Murphy's right before they closed and Tylor made us a great pizza.
Wonderful Italian Hideaway!. I am not one to write reviews but my husband and I love this place! Someone told me about it and we decided to check it out. It is a very quaint, clean and lovely little restaurant. All the food we have ordered has been delicious. Reminds me of some of the Italian bistros we used to frequent when we lived in Beverly Hills, CA. The service has always been awesome. The wait staff is friendly and kind. We have never waited a long time for food or drink but I think we always go during off-peak times too. I love the Penne Puttanesca and the Manicotti is delish! It is very affordable and delicious and the portions are very generous.
Very bland food. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni, but it was as bland as could be. Very disappointing. They also brought out the entrees out separately, about 10 minutes apart. Not cool. On the other hand, the service was great, other than bringing out the entrees separately.
Really Good Pizza in Lakeville. This restaurant opened up next to our house. We have been there MANY times. We love their pizza, pepperoni mushroom and extra cheese. Their sauce isn't like anything around here, very unique. Has a kick to it and uses real chunks of tomato. If you like ranch with your pizza, the ranch is good too. We've tried their paninis, pretty good. Their spicy penne was ok, the sauce was a little bitter. Don't have their alfredo, unless you like a lot of garlic flavor. All in all, we are happy to have a good pizza place in lakville other than the chains like dominos or pizza hut. It's a small restaurant with a downtown taste.
