44.934787 -93.612366Cut and Bruised Brazilian Wax. I pray they are NEVER allowed to sell on Living Social again. My friend left 1/2 way through a Brazilian wax, the "estitician" cut her nether region with a scissors! The floors are dirty, the sheets were dirty. We were not given towels to cover up with - very unprofessional. The wax is VERY sticky and both of us have surface bruises from the wax being tore off, they used too small of strips, too. Both our appointments were at 6pm - when I got out, my friend had been waiting the entire time and went in with the same woman who did my service. My Brazilian is so sloppy, I had to shave when I got home. Please call Living Social 877-521-4191 (US/CA) and report your service from them. They are in Orono, not Wayzata - if you are from the metro area, you know THIS MATTERS!
Dirty Spa.
I also had the living social deal and had an awful experience.
The massage room had a sign saying they were not a licensed facility in the state of MN for massage or facials.
Massage- Disqusting. The table blanket was covered in long blonde hairs. I asked for a different one and they gave one to me but there was no apology and the massage therapist remarked about sometimes blankets just get like that from the dryer. To me it was obvious it had not been washed. The therapist had very tall clear plastic stripper heals on that were very noisy as she walked around the table during my massage. She also had a skirt with a slit all the way up her side- not professional- made me feel like I was at a dirty place.
Facial- They washed my face and applied two masks. Nothing else. No extractions. No massage.
Nails- Worst mani/pedi I have ever had.
Do not go there!!!
Lies about charity donations.
So my friend went to the Seidou today to try and get a refund on her livingsocial deal. She said she wanted her money back because there were no certified massage therapists, bad reviews etc. Same complaints you read over and over. Well the owner proceeded to say that if she must get a refund that she would have to go through living social, and that the reason she sold so many of the deals was for charity; that the money went towards the tsunami relief! BULL****! She was lieing through her teeth! What the owner didn't realize is that that area is a small town, and she knows people who worked there; no the money did not go to it at all! They have donated to charities in the past, but this was not the case at all with the livingsocial deal! Just thought I would for warn people. Don't let them guilt trip you with their lie about donating to charity. The tsunami relief isn't even listed on their website under charities. Nice huh?!
Normally I don't like to post bad reviews online, but I just could not stand the idea of someone using charity to make someone feel guilty. Nice try Seidou; maybe if you started doing things by the book, you wouldn't be experiencing so many problems.
Worst Salon Spa Experience. I got the Living Social coupon ($90 for an hour massage, hour facial, pedicure and manicure) but only got the pedicure and manicure. The service was so bad that I didn't want the massage or facial. This was literally the worst salon spa experience I have ever had. Ever. The person doing my pedicure didn't take off my old polish, then she contorted each one of my toes into the most unnatural position to file the nails and when she polished my nails, she fully painted my toes in the process, only to go back with a paint brush to clean off the polish from my skin around my toes. Really!? I'm pretty sure this person didn't have a cosmetology licence. The manicure was even worse. She only filed half of my nails. She stood up during my hand massage and started walking away, but then just stood there holding my hand. I almost asked her if she was drunk. She left my so much file dust and dirt under my nails that they were literally more dirty than when I arrived at the salon. I asked to have clear polish, but instead she quickly through on a base coat and told me not to touch anything until the stickiness went away. Within an hour the base coat had peeled away and my hands looks worse than when I entered the salon. Did I mention that there was still remnants of pink nail polish on two of my fingers from trying the colors. This was the first time in my entire life that I didn't leave any gratuity. My fingers and toes still feel dirty from the whole experience. My entire being shutters at the idea of returning for my massage and facial.
Not at all relaxing. I also had the $90 special with massage/facial/mani & pedi. Mani and pedi were fine. The facial & massage were not at all relaxing- soooo loud the entire time, could hear all the noise of the salon. My massage was also horrible, as noted below by another reviewer. Was supposed to be an hour and was about 40 minutes, did not work on any of the areas I requested, left the room twice which cut into my already reduced time. Save your money and go to a quiet, relaxing salon/spa where they provide you with a full 60 minute, relaxing massage that is worth your money.
Save your $$ Ladies! for a prof Salon/Spa!. OK, first I got the special.... $90 for a 1hr massage, 1hr facial, mani & pedi.... my 1st experience was the facial, My face was washed x2 ( watch out for the soap in you eyes) next after applying a mask, the esti applied hot towels to my face and then left the room! whithout saying so ( while the towels were still on my face ) she then came back and continued her service.... dropping a bottle on my head in the process... next came the massage.... by a STUDENT!!!! it was her 1st day! she was asking me how she was doing the whole time.... ohh and did I mention there was a 9yr old birthday party going on during my massage(6-8girls having a blast... not so quietly) so the relaxing part of the massage was not going to happen so.... I decided to humor myself and give the massage therapist my input during the 50 min NOT 60 min massage. after that fun I went to have my mani/pedi which was fab! even though the spa owner was sititng in the pedi chair next to me ( getting herself a mani/pedi) saying "thanks for understanding" ( about the 9yr old birthday party ) humm.... I don't think I ever said that I "understanded" that inconveinence. It was a very obnoxious experience at Seidou Salon Spa! Don't waste your time or money!
awesome massage. I was in this salon for a massage and Jennifer whom does deep tissue was awesome, she differently knows her pressure points. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a good massage.
Awesome Nails and Facial. I just happened upon this salon and spa this summer. Its great! They always have awesome deals going on and it is very affordable. This summer I had multiple facials, they were great. Not only was the service wonderful but the products they use are organic and dont make my skin break out. Also last week I needed my nails done in a jiffy and they were able to accomidate me with ease. I recommend going here for all your needs :)
