What People Are Saying About A Local Locksmith 24/7
Legit business...?
by ichibo at Citysearch
Needed an ignition lock replaced on my car. Quoted $150 on the phone. Total cost was $300 because the lock needed drilling and replacement. Guy was nice but didn't speak English very well, which made it hard to understand the charges and what exactly he was doing.
While drilling out the lock he damaged the key transponder receiver. The guy apparently went to the junk yard and got a replacement. After finishing there was a dremel head and large amounts of shavings and metal chunks on the floor.
Car starts now, and the cost sounds a little higher than average for this.

Expensive and Rude

I wish I could give them 0 stars because 1 star is giving them too much credit. I locked my keys in my car. When they came I was informed that it would be $150. That's about $100 more that most locksmiths charge but I was in a hurry and since he was already there I was stuck..... Anyway, I got home and was feeling like I got completely ripped off. When I told people how much I paid they couldn't believe it so I called the shop to express my frustration. The phone was answered by someone who barely spoke English. After several attempts to understand what he was saying I asked if there was someone there who spoke better English, to which he replied (in English...the only words I could understand) "No, we all speak Spanish here." It would have been cheaper for me to break the window of my car and get that fixed rather than call these guys.
thanks guy
