I enjoy going to Malones when the weather is good as the outside area is large and accommodating.
Three of us had a nice lunch here last week and I was pleasantly surprised. My Cobb salad was very good but the best part was the delicious grilled chicken on top... and lots of it! My husband had a low carb chicken plate with sauteed veggies that was more generous than he expected and very tasty. Our teen granson had a huge sandwich with plenty of good waffle fries. The flavor was good on all and the price was better than I expected since we had dinner here last year and the meal was pretty costly with a cocktail. Service was excellent for lunch!
Had dinner there on sun

Calvin the mgr came to table several times to make

To going back !!!
This is what Champps used to be in the 1990's. Burgers are always cooked perfectly. Service has been great. A go-to place for my wife and I.
A nice lunch at Malones last weekend. Super friendly server. Frannie salad is a flavorful, lighter feeling lunch with sliced fried chicen breast over artichoke, avocado, egg, tomato, greens and a sweet dressing- nice mix of hot and cold. Partner had a meaty build your own burger and yes.....the dreaded upgrade to waffle fries. Makes a huge difference when waffle fries come out hot. Can anyone tell me why any stupid fried potato is an upgrade price from potato chips? Or better yet, why would any full service restaurant serve potato chips with a burger? Malone's has done a great job my last two visits with a larger group too so I feel they are a solid choice for lunch in Maple Grove.
Only go to Malones if you support rudeness at a restaurant. I would give it zero stars if I could. The manager refused to take our coupon, which is the second time this happened to someone in our group. We spent the required minimum but the manager was an incredible jerk. He said he didn't need our business as he can fill their bar without our large group ever coming back. The food was cold. Waitress was fine. Never in my life have I experienced such rudeness from restaurant staff. I was blown away at what a jerk he was to our group. He had no issue telling a group of 23 that he doesn't need our business. I read other similar reviews and I bet it was the same guy. Young, white male, about 5'5 dark hair. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Terrible Service and Terrible Staff!!!!!!!!!. The bartender and our waitresses were extremely rude. We had an issue with our bill and brought it to the attention of the bartender since our waitress was MIA. We were told one thing but got charged differently. The bartender started talking crap about us to the people at the bar. They were complete jerks. Drinks were light and said that's how you'll get them everywhere else. Bologna.
From fantastic to ehhh....

Servers running all over the place and don't seem to pay attention to customer's walking
Expert at Bland Food and Bad Service. My boyfriend and I decided to eat here a couple Fridays ago. It was packed which seemed like a good sign, but after waiting 40 minutes for a table, we were hungry! We finally got seated at a booth that was basically hidden in the dining room. After no server coming to the table for 10 or 15 minutes, I got pissed and wanted to walk out. The hostess said that she'd get us a server. First of all, this shouldn't even happened! She said she'd send the manager over but they never showed up. Long story short, we were starved so we ordered. I had a cobb salad with over-marinated chicken, and my boyfriend had a "walleye sandwich" which was really just a $12 filet-o-fish. We settled our tab honorably, which was $50+, and I have no idea how my boyfriend tipped, but I wouldn't have given even her five bucks, honestly. When we were getting ready to leave, the hostess asked us how it was and if the manager came by. I said it was mediocre but that I appreciated her concern, she was probably the nicest, most on the ball person working at that place. I also added that the manager, never came, which it made it seem like the owner doesn't train their managers to give a rip, the hostess said she'd get her for us. The manager said she was sorry when I explained what happened, and that we would get a free meal next time. Honestly, we're not going for our "free meal", because we weren't given a gift card, certificate, nadda. She said she would email all the managers and let them know, which sounds like cowdung to me. The best way you can tell a restaurant that it sucked, is to not go back again, so we won't!!
