Great Service. I've been bringing my cars to them for 10 years and have always experienced honest service, reasonable prices, great advice, quality work, and never once have they tried to upsell.
They lie, cheat, and steal at the Firestone at 1100 Hawthorne Ave in Minneapolis.
On 05-03-08 I left my car for 3 hours to have the tires balanced for $35.00.
They called me and said my tires needed to be replaced.
Well considering they are only 6 months old and I know all about car tires I said no.
They also said I should have the alignment checked.
Because I just had it aligned 2 months ago, the car did not pull to the right or left, and because the steering wheel was perfectly level I also said no? Just balance the tires please.
When I went to pick up my car I immediately noticed one of my wheels was missing my nice shiny chrome lug nuts had been replaced with two heavily corroded and rusty lug nuts, and 3 new brass ones.
At first the manager Tom Reisdorf said the caps had fallen off my lug nuts and they were mine, until I pointed out all my lug nuts are chrome, corrosion free, and have a different manufacturer stamp.
Then he admitted they were obviously not the ones I came in with and agreed to order me a new set because mine had mysteriously disappeared.
When I drove off the lot I immediately noticed my car was now pulling hard to the left, and my steering wheel was no longer even close to being level. I was way out of alignment.
I called the manager and told him my new issue and he said maybe I should have the tires rotated again? ?I don?t think so,? I said.
I after having my car inspected by a mechanic the next day, it was apparent because of some nice fresh tool marks that my alignment had been adjusted. Not for the better.
Again I called the manager Tom Reisdorf about my issues.
He then denied that they told me I needed new tires or maybe they were mistaken if they had called.
He also said they never touched the alignment. (must have been gnomes I guess).
And lastly recanted that I was given the wrong lug nuts and he only agreed to order me a new set because he was feeling generous that day.
I am now working with the corporate office to rectify this mess.
