Today was my first visit to The Barbershop. Usually I go to Coles Salon which is more expensive and I was searching for a cheaper haircut. $11.50 seemed like a good price, however I should have taken that as a warning about the quality. I went to the Eagan location and was impressed with the layout and decor when I walked in. Everything seemed fine. The lady that cut my hair was pleasant and chatted amiably about Red Wing, where she lives. Apparently they've moved her around from the store in Rochester to the West St. Paul store, and then to the Eagan store. I went home happy, but upon inspection from my wife she exclaimed, "the back is crooked!" I didn't believe her and she took a photo and showed me. Indeed, there was a VERY obvious slant in the back hairline, plus on further inspection we found spotty hair lengths all over the place. I've never had such a bad haircut. Thankfully we own some clippers and my wife was able to trim the hairline up to at least mask the more egregious mistakes. The company made all kinds of effort on making the atmosphere appealing, but they can't deliver a good haircut! I was astounded. I won't be back. Take the price as a warning. In this case you really do get what you pay for. I will be going back to Coles even though they're a higher price.
