Rude, unhelpful. I ordered a bridesmaid dress from Brides of France. They measured me and recommended that I get a size two, which, according to their measurements, should fit off the rack. The salesclerk assured me I would need little to no alterations on it. However, when I received the dress four months later, the dress was WAY too small! Too small to even be altered by a seamstress I met with. We checked the manufacturer's website, whose sizes were two sizes different from BOF's. When I called BOF to see what could be done they were extremely rude. The woman I spoke to, Bonnie, told me I would have to order, and pay for, a brand new dress as well as the rush. It would still take about five or six weeks to get in, which was not enough time before the wedding. Then I told them that I had gone off their measurements and that this was their error, they refused to replace or even return the dress because, as the manager claimed, "I don't know what website you were looking at, but it matches the store's measurements." She basically went on to say that it didn't matter and wasn't their problem if the dress didn't fit. She then hung up on me. Brides of France's main purpose is to get people dresses that fit! It was their mistake that this dress did not fit me, they offered terrible, extremely rude customer service, and wouldn't help me resolve the problem at all. When my friend, the bride, went in to speak to them, she also received rude customer service. They also lied to her about what dress they recommended I get, even though she was there and remembered the conversation the same way I did. They also refused to release or even show us the measurements they took for me and the store's dress measurement chart.
