Does anyone know how to get a hold of this company? My husband purchased a massage voucher for me and I was not able to book anything until June because they had no availability. I have been trying to call and no one is answering. HELP?!?! I would just like to have my money back. Thanks!
Horrible experience! The staff was VERY unprofessional (especially the owner, Mel- he was rude and degrading). It took forever to get an appointment there, and once I finally got one, I waited almost half an hour before being helped! Dirty place and a huge waste of money. Do NOT buy any groupons, living social deals, etc for this place.
Mel and Priscilla are fabulous! They are incredibly nice and always have a 'customers first' attitude. I've had several facials there and my skin always feels fantastic afterward. Can't really say enough wonderful things about this spa and the wonderful folks that work there.

We booked a mani/pedi party for a group of eight for a 'girls' night out and were treated like queens! He gave us the run of the place and kept our wine glasses filled!!! :) What a host!!
We were able to laugh, talk, relax and snack and it was a terrific start to a great night - we'll definitely come back!
Tried for almost a week to get an appointment. One online booking and 2 phone calls to them later I've yet to talk to a scheduler. Can't imagine how disorganized they must be once you get there. With a day spa popping up on every corner one would think these guys would want to invite business not keep it from coming in the door. Guess they're just too busy for new clients. FAIL!
celebrated my birthday party there this past weekend with 6 of my friends. we all got half hour facials and mani/pedi's. the organic line they use for their facials are to die for. mani/pedi room was very intimate and my girlfriend and i bonded as our feet got worked on. My face still feels amazing and i made a follow up facial appointment to go back in a month. my friends were raving about it today and were genuinely satisfied. highly recommend and will be back.
I found Perfect Getaway spa through a discounted voucher. As a business owner myself, i can definitely appreciate the pains businesses go through with the coupon clippers/chronic buyers who have no desire to return to the business or even foster a relationship or tip decently for good customer service but are merely chasing the deal.
I received the groupon as a christmas gift, checked some of these reviews and went in with minimal expectations based on the fact that the reviews were a mixed bag.
I was greeted by Mel the owner with a warm smile, a hi, nice to meet you and did you find the place ok. I immediately felt at home once he offered me a cup of hot chocolate and hung up my coat.
As i filled up my paperwork, i was impressed with the comfy fireplace, leather couch and the no frills, unpretentious lobby. I was definitely at home and was excited for my massage and facial.
Priscilla did an awesome facial. I have had a few facials at spalon montage and i have to say this was by far the best. She treated me with an LED light that treated acne, removed wrinkles and dealt with some of my roseacea. The chris came in afterwards and gave me the best massage of my life. Trust me, i have had a few in my day and wow...i was mindblown by his attention to detail, his pressure and the way he worked every knot like it owed him money.
The icing on the cake were the hot towels at the end of my massage. wow.
At the end, i was walked to the back lobby which is extremely cosy and comfortable and served a glass of wine. chris and priscilla did a follow up afterwards to explain what they found as far as my problem areas and then left me to relax.
Mel came back to check on me a few minutes later. He kept it short and sweet, begged me to stay as long as i wanted and left.
I came upfront about a half hour later and the checkout process was smooth and courteous. I did take them off on a bounceback deal to come back on another massage and facial. Their monthly programs are very affordable and i like to support small businesses.
I have also purchased giftcards for valentine's for some friends who were curious about my experience. I will definitely be coming back for sure. Very pleased with everything and will refer everyone i know here. It is a rare find.
The prices are only within a competitive range if you purchase the monthly memberships. I think the owner means well, but he is VERY pushy with up-selling, pre-selling services, or selling memberships. It's a big turn off to be pressured like that and when I declined he asked if it was for financial reasons. That's just not professional. He also flipped his attitude from friendly to cold and short. The massage I had was fantastic (thank you Jackie) and though I can't remember the name of the cosmetologist, she was very sweet and informative. She did a great job and I would use either one of them again if they didn't work at Perfect Getaway. To top it off, it took several attempts on my part to book the appointments in the first place. They don't answer the phone or return calls. It's annoying to need to try so hard just to spend my money there. There are plenty of other spas out there. I wouldn't waste my time here.
I have been impressed by the service at Perfect Getaway. My wife and I first were exposed to them with an online discount coupon for a couples massage. We have had massages at other places before and none of them have left the impression that we took away from here.
For starters, Mel has been really great to us. His guest service really is top-notch. He always asks how the family is, how's work going, etc. He makes you feel like you're entering his home. He even offered to open on a day they are closed just to get my mom in. Having been in customer service for nearly 15 years, I applaud someone willing to go the extra mile to serve his clients.
Next, the ambiance. They transformed a small suite in the warehouse district into an oasis of tranquility. The lobby is much less "busy" than other salons / spas I have seen. They don't have shelves upon shelves of beauty products that they are trying to push upon you. Once you get into a room, the lighting is nice and low, and there is always some kind of relaxing music being played through the speakers. I have only had massages there, so I can't speak to the other services they offer, but I'm happy with the massage rooms.
The employees I have met have been great, as well. I know that my first time there, my masseuse was amazing. Erin hit every one of the knots in my back, used great pressure, and had excellent technique. She communicated well, checking how I was doing several times throughout. She made it an enjoyable experience by having fun with it and still maintaining excellent professionalism. I would absolutely recommend her and will request her again.
Finally, the damages. The prices seem to be reasonable, though I'm not the foremost expert on the going rates. I know that their monthly program makes it great if you can afford $60 / month on massages. If you go twice a month on the plan, the second one is only $40- unbeatable by any measure. Remember to tip for the service; we want to keep those talented hands happy!
In conclusion, I am not an authority on mud masks or pedicures, but I can wholeheartedly recommend Mel and his talented team of massage professionals and will be going there exclusively for my feels-like-a-million-bucks treatments for the foreseeable future.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! I have no idea what some of these people are talking about. From the moment my fiance and I stepped into that place till now, the service has been nothing but amazing. Mel met us at the door and was so kind! Now, I consider him to be a good friend. They have always answered the phone every time I have called. There have been multiple times when I've had to cancel my appointment last minute and they are always so accomodating.
I have had a few different massage therapists since I've been going there and not once had a bad massage. They have all been terrific. I am on the membership program and have been for almost a year and I highly recommend it. Especially with all of my migraines and back problems I take full advantage of this program. For the last few months Jackie has been doing my massages and she is terrific! Such a sweet lady and always making sure the pressure of the massage, tempature of the room and music is all OKAY for me. Thanks Jackie, you rock!!! I have also had Tim, Shawn and Bill who are all great as well!
I feel more than comfortable when I go to the Perfect Getaway Day Spa and it's just such a relaxing place to be. Thank you to Mel and the team for such an amazing place :) Keep up the good work!
