Tips for Becker Furniture World

I would run very fast from Becker Furniture World if you are thinking of purchasing there. They are horrible. I ordered several pieces of furniture in January 2013 and it is March now and I have received more headaches than furniture.

When my first delivery came several pieces were missing (end table but no coffee table, chairs and no table). And the expensive dining room table literally fell apart when they were putting it together and 90% of the dining room chairs were wobbly. When we asked why they didn't check these first before delivery they said they didn't have a place to do that. They wanted us to keep the defective pieces so a service person could come and fix them. We refused and had to call twice to get our money appropriately refunded for the dining room pieces.

Then in mid February, 6 weeks after we ordered, we were informed that the chairs for the kitchen set we had ordered were discontinued and they wanted to know if we wanted the table without the chairs. We again asked for refund on these pieces and had to call three times to get our refund.

Then toward the end of February we were informed the couch, chairs and ottomans we custom ordered January 4th, could not be made because the fabric had been discontinued. Our choice was to cancel the order or come in and pick out new fabric. We canceled and as of today are still trying to get our money refunded.

We still have 2 pieces left to receive that we paid for January 4th but have not gotten a firm delivery date on yet. Last we heard it was suppose to be the end of March. Both of these were suppose to be stock pieces and delivered back in January. Only reason we have not cancelled these is that they go with pieces we already have.

So far no apologies, not even return phone calls from the store manager. Find it very odd that Becker Furniture World can stay in business when they hold onto money and orders for weeks before placing them. We will never shop with them again. Here it is March when all our items were to be in and we literally have to start all over. Not with Becker Furniture World though, never again! When people see our bare rooms in our house we tell the our horrible service experience with Becker Furniture World and make sure to tell them not to step foot in their stores.

Gave us the run around. Becker in Blaine, MN (Northtown Mall). Horrible service! We ordered 4 chairs promised to us in 4 days. Perfect, because we need them by Thanksgiving in two weeks. After a week of not hearing from them telling us to come pick them up, we call to see what the hold up is. It was then that they told us that another order was made at "the same time" and that our sales person, Mike, should have checked before telling us that the chairs were available to us...because they were not. "Not to worry", he tells us. "My manager will override the order and tell the delivery guys at the warehouse to get the chairs on the truck and you can pick them up tomorrow". We take off work in the afternoon just to pick them up and put them together before company arrives the next day for Thanksgiving. We call earlier in the day to see if our chairs were in and told the truck would be in in one hour (2pm). We get to the store at 6:30pm to pick up the chairs and they tell us the chairs were NOT on the truck. The guys at the warehouse must have all the authority because they were the ones that kept us from receiving our chairs even after the manager (supposedly) told them to get them on the truck for us. They were expecting us and no one, not even the manager bothered to call to tell us not to come pick up chairs because they were not there. Result: we canceled our order, manager, Tim, didn't even try to keep us as customers. Customers must be a dime a dozen there cause they sure didn't care about us or our money one bit!!

Misled in furniture purchase. Rating on here states I have to rate, I say NO STARS! My family bought a piece of furniture there and bought the warranty on it and have gotten the run around on repairs. I will never buy anything from them again. We were told that with the regular warranty and the extended warranty that this piece would last in our family. This piece of furniture was bought in the beginning of the year and now it looks like I have had it for 10 years. I really want to call the local tv people about how they treat their customers. They aren't the only ones to blame, the manufacturers Simmons Upholstery, the ones that make the furniture, said I wouldn't be able to get the entire piece of furniture replaced. They want to fix the repairs in sections. What a load of garabage! I went through all the proper channels to get my furniture repaired, and I got the shaft! I hope anyone reading this will do research and not go to BECKER FURNITURE WORLD AND NOT BY ANYTHING FROM SIMMONS UPHOLSTERY! You will give them money with nothing to show for it!!

BAD. yup EARLY DELIVERY....so dump a day of work because they will give you a 90 minute window and call 90 minuets early and if you aint there 90 minuets before your scheduled delivery then your gonna have to reschedule and dump more work...and if you have questions the store cant take care of it...your gonna have to call a few different people...and you better be good online cus the store didnt even know the number to the warehouse....oh and their economy is good because even if you have a 2500 order they dont really need your buisness

Very respectful and even EARLY to deliver!!. Carolyn was a delight to work with. Any questions were responded to quickly & correctly! Furniture delayed almost 2 weeks, but she kept in good communication. Delivery guys were super! Very respectful and even EARLY to deliver!! I like!!

All were helpful, thoughtful & quick!. We used your website to to narrow down our choices for television consoles. We had to bring our kids with us, so we wanted to be quick in store. I showed the salesperson my online printout, and though the exact model wasn?t on display, she showed me all the closest matches, then a salesman up front locked up our model - last one, they gave us a $50 off coupon as well! All were helpful, thoughtful & quick!

friendly and preofessional. The men who delivered our merchandise were friendly and preofessional. I received a $100 coupon the day after I ordered my $4000 furniture. The woman I spoke to on the phone credited my account right away. I will shop at Becker again. The carnation on delivery was a nice added touch.
