Summit Great Northern PorterNext stop…Malt City Originally named after London market workers who popularized this brew, we dubbed our Porter w/ a nod to the majestic railway stretching from St. Paul to Seattle. UnchainedOld 152 Sour mash in a beer? Yep, you read that right. Brewer Eric Harper has gone old school for Summit Unchained #11. As in, Old 152. Inspired by the Kentucky Common beer style that was popular before Prohibition, it actually uses a sour mash of maize & rye in addition to traditional malts & Cluster hops (just about the only hop available in the U.S. back then).he results are anything but sour, yielding a chesnut-colored brew w/ a slightly spicy floral aroma, biscuit, caramel notes & crisp, clean bitterness.

Summit MaibockPronounced “My bock.” As in “Keep your hands off my bock.” This traditional German style earned the nickname “liquid bread” because it was brewed by monks to help them get through Lenten fasting. Summit Oatmeal StoutA taste you won’t find every where. While its cascading rich black color will be familiar to Stout enthusiasts, ours is decidedly different.
